But if you will look to God, and make your supplication to the Almighty,

你若殷勤地寻求神，向全能者恳求；

你若切切寻求上帝，向全能者恳求；

你若切切寻求神，向全能者恳求；

但你若寻求上帝，向全能者恳求；

你若殷勤寻求神，向全能者恳求；

你若殷勤地尋求神，向全能者懇求；

你若切切尋求上帝，向全能者懇求；

你若切切尋求神，向全能者懇求；

但你若尋求上帝，向全能者懇求；

你若殷勤尋求神，向全能者懇求；

你若迫切尋求上帝，而向全能者懇求；

爾若勤求上帝、祈於全能者、

如爾勤求上帝、乞恩於全能之主、

爾若尋求天主、向全能之主祈恩、

But if you will seek God earnestly and plead with the Almighty,

But seek God with all your heart. Make your appeal to the Mighty One.

If you will seek God and plead with the Almighty for mercy,

But if you pray to God and seek the favor of the Almighty,

But if you earnestly seek God and ask the Almighty for mercy,

If you will search for God And implore the compassion of the Almighty,

If you would earnestly seek God And make your supplication to the Almighty,

If thou wouldest seek diligently unto God, And make thy supplication to the Almighty;

But if you earnestly seek God and ask the Almighty for mercy,

If thou wouldest seek unto God betimes, and make thy supplication to the Almighty;

If you want to seek God diligently, make your supplication to the Almighty.

“ As for you, if you prove faithful, and if you stretch out your hands toward him,

So submit to God. But resist the devil and he will flee from you.Draw near to God and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and make your hearts pure, you double- minded.Grieve, mourn, and weep. Turn your laughter into mourning and your joy into despair.Humble yourselves before the Lord and he will exalt you.

Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says,“ Oh, that today you would listen as he speaks!“ Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, in the day of testing in the wilderness.

“ Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened for you.For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

“ But as for me, I would seek God, and to God I would set forth my case.

Seek the LORD while he makes himself available; call to him while he is nearby!The wicked need to abandon their lifestyle and sinful people their plans. They should return to the LORD, and he will show mercy to them, and to their God, for he will freely forgive them.

“ Reconcile yourself with God, and be at peace with him; in this way your prosperity will be good.Accept instruction from his mouth and store up his words in your heart.If you return to the Almighty, you will be built up; if you remove wicked behavior far from your tent,and throw your gold in the dust– your gold of Ophir among the rocks in the ravines–then the Almighty himself will be your gold, and the choicest silver for you.Surely then you will delight yourself in the Almighty, and will lift up your face toward God.You will pray to him and he will hear you, and you will fulfill your vows to him.Whatever you decide on a matter, it will be established for you, and light will shine on your ways.When people are brought low and you say‘ Lift them up!’ then he will save the downcast;he will deliver even someone who is not innocent, who will escape through the cleanness of your hands.”

In his pain Manasseh asked the LORD his God for mercy and truly humbled himself before the God of his ancestors.When he prayed to the LORD, the LORD responded to him and answered favorably his cry for mercy. The LORD brought him back to Jerusalem to his kingdom. Then Manasseh realized that the LORD is the true God.
