Gather the people, consecrate the assembly; bring together the elders, gather the children, those nursing at the breast. Let the bridegroom leave his room and the bride her chamber.

Bring them together. Set all of them apart to me. Bring together the elders. Gather the children and the babies who are still nursing. Let the groom leave his bedroom. Let the bride leave their marriage bed.

犹大众人和他们的婴孩、妻子、儿女都站在耶和华面前。

夫妻不可彼此亏负，除非两相情愿，暂时分房，为要专心祷告方可；以后仍要同房，免得撒但趁着你们情不自禁，引诱你们。

对他们说：“利未人哪，当听我说：现在你们要洁净自己，又洁净耶和华你们列祖神的殿，从圣所中除去污秽之物。

又叫亲近我的祭司自洁，恐怕我忽然出来击杀他们。”

他说：“为平安来的，我是给耶和华献祭。你们当自洁，来与我同吃祭肉。”撒母耳就使耶西和他众子自洁，请他们来吃祭肉。

耶和华又对摩西说：“你往百姓那里去，叫他们今天明天自洁，又叫他们洗衣服。

筵宴的日子过了，约伯打发人去叫他们自洁。他清早起来，按着他们众人的数目献燔祭；因为他说：“恐怕我儿子犯了罪，心中弃掉神。”约伯常常这样行。

他对百姓说：“到第三天要预备好了。不可亲近女人。”

会中有许多人尚未自洁，所以利未人为一切不洁之人宰逾越节的羊羔，使他们在耶和华面前成为圣洁。

那日，耶路撒冷必有大大的悲哀，如米吉多平原之哈达临门的悲哀。境内一家一家地都必悲哀。大卫家，男的独在一处，女的独在一处。拿单家，男的独在一处，女的独在一处。利未家，男的独在一处，女的独在一处。示每家，男的独在一处，女的独在一处。其余的各家，男的独在一处，女的独在一处。”

你起来，叫百姓自洁，对他们说：‘你们要自洁，预备明天，因为耶和华以色列的神这样说：以色列啊，你们中间有当灭的物，你们若不除掉，在仇敌面前必站立不住！’

太阳如同新郎出洞房，又如勇士欢然奔路。

你们要分定禁食的日子，宣告严肃会，招聚长老和国中的一切居民到耶和华你们神的殿，向耶和华哀求。

他又使人遍告尼尼微通城，说：“王和大臣有令，人不可尝什么，牲畜、牛羊不可吃草，也不可喝水。人与牲畜都当披上麻布；人要切切求告神。各人回头离开所行的恶道，丢弃手中的强暴。

耶稣对他们说：“新郎和陪伴之人同在的时候，陪伴之人岂能哀恸呢？但日子将到，新郎要离开他们，那时候他们就要禁食。

“今日，你们的首领、族长、长老、官长、以色列的男丁，你们的妻子儿女，和营中寄居的，以及为你们劈柴挑水的人，都站在耶和华你们的神面前，

要宰逾越节的羊羔，洁净自己，为你们的弟兄预备了，好遵守耶和华藉摩西所吩咐的话。”

把那作赎罪祭的公山羊牵到王和会众面前，他们就按手在其上。祭司宰了羊，将血献在坛上作赎罪祭，为以色列众人赎罪，因为王吩咐将燔祭和赎罪祭为以色列众人献上。
