把一切奪來的和擄掠的，連人帶牲畜都帶走；他們把俘擄的人和擄來的，以及奪來的東西，都帶到摩押平原，約旦河邊，和耶利哥相對的營地那裡，交給摩西和以利亞撒祭司，以及以色列的會眾。

只有那城裡的牲畜和戰利品，以色列人照著耶和華吩咐約書亞的話，都據為己有。

這樣，約書亞擊殺了全地的人，就是山地、南地、高原和山坡的人，以及那些地方所有的王，不容一人逃脫；約書亞照著耶和華以色列的神的吩咐，把有氣息的都完全毀滅了。

只有婦人、小孩子、牲畜和城裡所有的一切，就是一切戰利品，你都可以據為己有，你的仇敵的戰利品，你都可以吃用，因為這是耶和華你的神賜給你的。

“耶和華你的神領你進入他向你列祖亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各起誓應許給你的地；那裡有不是你建造的，又高大又美麗的城市，有裝滿各樣美物的房子，不是你裝滿的；有鑿成的水池，不是你鑿成的；還有葡萄園和橄欖園，不是你栽種的；你可以吃，並且吃得飽足。
