雅各夙興、以所枕石立為柱、沃膏其上。昔斯邑名路斯、雅各易之曰、伯特利。遂許願曰、如上帝眷佑我、庇護我、我所向往、賜以衣食、安然而歸、則耶和華必為我之上帝。且我立柱石將為上帝殿、上帝所錫我者、十輸其一、獻於上帝。
