Now when all the kings west of the Jordan heard about these things— the kings in the hill country, in the western foothills, and along the entire coast of the Mediterranean Sea as far as Lebanon( the kings of the Hittites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites)—

All the kings who ruled west of the Jordan River heard about the battles Israel had won. That included the kings who ruled in the central hill country and the western hills. It also included those who ruled along the entire coast of the Mediterranean Sea all the way to Lebanon. They were the kings of the Hittites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites.

As soon as all the kings who were beyond the Jordan in the hill country and in the lowland all along the coast of the Great Sea toward Lebanon, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, heard of this,

Now all the kings west of the Jordan River heard about what had happened. These were the kings of the Hittites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites, who lived in the hill country, in the western foothills, and along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea as far north as the Lebanon mountains.

When all the kings heard about Jericho and Ai, those who were west of the Jordan in the hill country, in the Judean foothills, and all along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea toward Lebanon— the Hethites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites—

Now it came about when all the kings who were beyond the Jordan, in the hill country, the lowland, and on all the coast of the Great Sea toward Lebanon, the Hittite and the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, heard about it,

And it came to pass when all the kings who were on this side of the Jordan, in the hills and in the lowland and in all the coasts of the Great Sea toward Lebanon— the Hittite, the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite— heard about it,

And it came to pass, when all the kings that were beyond the Jordan, in the hill- country, and in the lowland, and on all the shore of the great sea in front of Lebanon, the Hittite, and the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, heard thereof;

When the news reached all the kings on the west side of the Jordan– in the hill country, the lowlands, and all along the Mediterranean coast as far as Lebanon( including the Hittites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites)–

When all the kings who were beyond the Jordan, in the hill country, and in the lowland, and on all the shore of the great sea in front of Lebanon, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, heard of it

西以大海為界、此即爾之西界、

眾如斯行、攜五王、即耶路撒冷王、希伯崙王、耶末王、拉吉王、伊磯倫王、皆出穴、

自約但至大海、日入之處、所有諸國、即我所滅、與所遺未滅者、我已以鬮分其地、予爾諸支派為業、

當日約書亞取瑪基大、擊之以刃、滅其王與其中所有之人、一無所留、待瑪基大王、如昔待耶利哥王然、約書亞率以色列眾、自瑪基大往立拿、攻立拿、主以立拿與其王、付於以色列人手、約書亞擊之以刃、殺其中所有之人、一無所留、待立拿王、如昔待耶利哥王然、約書亞率以色列眾、自立拿往拉吉、列營而攻之、主以拉吉付於以色列人手、明日取之、擊之以刃、殺其中所有之人、待之如待立拿無異、時基色王何蘭來助拉吉、約書亞擊之與其民、不留一人、約書亞率以色列眾、自拉吉往伊磯倫、列營而攻之、當日取之、擊之以刃、於是日盡滅其中所有之人、如所行於拉吉無異、約書亞率以色列眾、自伊磯倫往希伯崙、列營而攻之、取之、擊之以刃、與其王、及其鄉邑、殺其中所有之人、一無所留、如所行於伊磯倫無異、盡滅希伯崙與其中所有之人、約書亞率以色列眾、返底璧而攻之、取底璧、擒其王、又取其諸鄉邑、擊之以刃、盡滅其中所有之人、一無所留、待底璧與其王、如昔待希伯崙利比拿與其王無異、

我定爾界、由紅海至非利士海、由曠野至大河、我必將斯地之居民、付於爾手、必逐之於爾前、

約書亞與以色列人、在約但西所擊之諸王、彼原轄之地、即自利巴嫩平原之巴力迦得、至近西珥之童山、約書亞以此地予以色列諸支派、循其家族為業、即山地、窪地、亞拉巴、亞拉巴或作平原山麓、曠野、南方、即赫人、亞摩利人、迦南人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人之地其諸王、一為耶利哥王、一為近伯特利之艾王、一為耶路撒冷王、一為希伯崙王、一為耶末王、一為拉吉王、一為伊磯倫王、一為基色王、一為底璧王、一為基德王、一為何珥瑪王、一為亞拉得王、一為立拿王、一為亞杜郎王、一為瑪基大王、一為伯特利王、一為他普亞王、一為希弗王、一為亞弗王、一為拉沙倫王、一為瑪頓王、一為夏瑣王、一為伸崙米倫王、一為押煞王、一為他納王、一為米吉多王、一為基叠王、一為近迦密之約念王、一為那法多珥境內之多珥王、一為吉甲之異族王、一為得撒王、共三十一王、

求主容我渡約但、觀約但西之美地、與其美山及利巴嫩、

我今日所命爾者當謹守、我於爾前將逐亞摩利人迦南人赫人比利洗人希未人耶布斯人、

又有迦巴勒人之地、東方利巴嫩全境、即自黑門山麓之巴力迦得、至哈末、

今主爾之天主、使爾同族獲安、如其所許之者、故爾可歸爾家、家原文作幕下同在約但東、主之僕摩西所予爾為業之地、

乃懼甚、蓋基遍原為大邑、與王都無異、較之艾尤大、而人皆勇士、於是耶路撒冷王亞多尼洗德、遣人往見希伯崙王何咸、耶末王昆蘭、拉吉王耶非亞、伊磯倫王底璧、告之曰、求爾來助我、我儕可攻擊基遍、因與約書亞及以色列人立和約、亞摩利五王、即耶路撒冷王、希伯崙王、耶末王、拉吉王、伊磯倫王、率其一切軍旅、聚集而上、對基遍列營而攻之、

瑪拿西半支派、摩西賜之以業在巴珊地、尚有半支派、約書亞賜之以業在其同族中、在約但西、約書亞遣之、即二支派人與半支派人歸家時、為之祝福、

亦得約但東之全亞拉巴、至亞拉巴之海、近毘斯迦山麓、

舁主約匱之祭司、在約但河中立於乾地、待以色列眾民過約但、皆由乾地而過、

約但西亞摩利諸王、與海濱迦南諸王、聞主於以色列人前、使約但之水涸、待以色列人悉過、則心怯膽喪、懼以色列人魂不附體、魂不附體或作志氣盡墜○

夏瑣王耶賓既聞斯事、遣人往見瑪頓王約巴、與伸崙王並押煞王、又往見居北之山地、基尼烈以南之亞拉巴、亞拉巴或作平原窪地、西之那弗多珥那弗多珥或作多珥境之諸王、居東居西之迦南人、與居山地之亞摩利人、赫人、比利洗人、耶布斯人、及居黑門山麓、與米斯巴地之希未人、此諸王率其軍旅而出、其人多如海濱之沙、車馬亦甚眾、列王咸集、至米倫水、同列其營、欲與以色列人戰、

當日主與亞伯蘭立約曰、我以斯地賜爾後裔、自伊及河至伯拉大河、即基尼、基尼洗、甲摩尼、赫、比利洗、利乏音、亞摩利、迦南、革迦撒、耶布斯、諸族之地、

自曠野及此利巴嫩、至伯拉大河赫族之全地、至大海日入之所、悉為爾境、

當時約書亞返、取夏瑣、以刃擊其王、因夏瑣素於此諸國中為首、其中之人、擊以刃而盡滅之、不留一人、遂以火焚夏瑣、

及至主爾之天主導爾入所往欲得為業之地、於爾前驅逐諸國之民、即赫人、革迦撒人、亞摩利人、迦南人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人、此七族較爾強大者、

迨主賜安於爾兄弟、與爾無異、並獲主爾之天主所賜之之地、然後可歸爾曹所得之地、即主之僕摩西在約但東所予爾者、據而有之、
