敵口孔張、切齒憤聲、曰、我所望者、今日之事、斯邑吞噬、我所目睹兮。

爾之諸敵、向爾張口、嗤笑切齒、曰、我儕已吞噬之、我所望之日、今已至矣、我所目睹、

All your enemies open their mouths wide against you; they scoff and gnash their teeth and say,“ We have swallowed her up. This is the day we have waited for; we have lived to see it.”

All your enemies open their mouths wide against you. They laugh at you and grind their teeth. They say,“ We have swallowed up Jerusalem’s people. This is the day we’ve waited for. And we’ve lived to see it.”

All your enemies rail against you; they hiss, they gnash their teeth, they cry:“ We have swallowed her! Ah, this is the day we longed for; now we have it; we see it!”

All your enemies mock you. They scoff and snarl and say,“ We have destroyed her at last! We have long waited for this day, and it is finally here!”

All your enemies open their mouths against you. They hiss and gnash their teeth, saying,“ We have swallowed her up. This is the day we have waited for! We have lived to see it.”

All your enemies Have opened their mouths wide against you; They hiss and gnash their teeth. They say,“ We have engulfed her! This certainly is the day which we awaited; We have reached it, we have seen it!”

All your enemies have opened their mouth against you; They hiss and gnash their teeth. They say,“ We have swallowed her up! Surely this is the day we have waited for; We have found it, we have seen it!”

他們大大張口攻擊我，說：「啊哈，啊哈，我們已經親眼看見了！」

我們所有的仇敵張口來攻擊我們；

我的仇敵終日踐踏我，逞驕傲攻擊我的人很多。

上帝發怒撕裂我，逼迫我，向我咬牙切齒；我的敵人怒目瞪我。他們向我大大張口，打我的耳光羞辱我，聚在一起攻擊我。

牠們向我張口，好像獵食吼叫的獅子。

巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒吞滅我，壓碎我，使我成為空器皿。他如大魚將我吞下，以我的美物充滿他的肚腹，又把我趕出去。

他們試探我，不斷嘲笑我，向我咬牙切齒。

惡人設謀要害義人，向他咬牙。

那時，人向我們發怒，就把我們活活吞了；

所以你要預言，說：主耶和華如此說：因為敵人使你荒涼，四圍踐踏你，要叫你歸其餘的列國為業，使你們成為各族的話柄與百姓的笑談；

我聽見摩押毀謗，亞捫人辱罵；他們辱罵我的百姓，自誇自大，侵犯他們的疆土。」萬軍之耶和華－以色列的上帝說：因此，我指着我的永生起誓：摩押必如所多瑪，亞捫人必像蛾摩拉，都變為刺草、鹽坑、永遠荒廢之地。我百姓中剩餘的必擄掠他們，我國中的倖存者必得他們的地。這事臨到他們是因他們的驕傲，他們自誇自大，辱罵萬軍之耶和華的百姓。

主耶和華如此說：因你們拍手頓足，幸災樂禍，藐視以色列地，

那踐踏我的人辱罵我的時候，上帝必從天上施恩救我，（細拉）他必向我施行慈愛和信實。

他們說：「他有怪病纏身，他已躺下，必不能再起來。」

惡人看見就憤怒，必咬牙而消亡，惡人的心願要歸於幻滅。

眾人聽見這些話，心中極其惱怒，向司提反咬牙切齒。

因為惡人的嘴和詭詐人的口張開攻擊我，他們用撒謊的舌頭對我說話。

「主耶和華如此說：因非利士人報仇，就是心存輕蔑報仇；他們永懷仇恨，意圖毀滅，

凡遇見他們的，就把他們吞滅。敵人說：「我們不算有罪；因他們得罪了那可作真正居所的耶和華，就是他們祖先所仰望的耶和華。」

以色列被吞吃，如今在列國中像人所不喜愛的器皿。

你要對亞捫人說，當聽主耶和華的話。主耶和華如此說：我的聖所遭褻瀆，以色列地變荒涼，猶大家被擄掠；那時，你因這些事說『啊哈』，

你兄弟遭難的日子，你不該瞪着眼看；猶大人被滅的日子，你不該幸災樂禍；他們遭難的日子，你不該說狂傲的話。我子民遭災的日子，你不該進他們的城門；他們遭災的日子，你不該瞪着眼看他們受苦；他們遭災的日子，你不該伸手搶他們的財物。他們遭難的日子，你不該站在岔路口剪除他們逃脫的人，你不該交出他們的倖存者。耶和華的日子臨近萬國；你所做的，人也必向你照樣做，你的報應必歸到自己頭上。你們在我聖山怎樣喝了苦杯，萬國必照樣不停地喝，且喝且吞，他們就必歸於無有。

以色列是打散的羊，被獅子趕散。首先是亞述王將他吞滅，末後是巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒折斷他的骨頭。

至於你荒廢淒涼之處，並你被毀壞之地，如今居民必嫌太窄，吞滅你的必離你遙遠。
