以色列人也必多日独居，无君王，无首领，无祭祀，无柱像，无以弗得，无家中的神像。

“耶和华必将你和你所立的王领到你和你列祖素不认识的国去；在那里你必侍奉木头石头的神。

巴比伦的勇士止息争战，藏在坚垒之中。他们的勇力衰尽，好像妇女一样。巴比伦的住处有火着起，门闩都折断了。

犹大王约雅斤和他母亲、臣仆、首领、太监一同出城，投降巴比伦王；巴比伦王便拿住他。那时是巴比伦王第八年。巴比伦王将耶和华殿和王宫里的宝物都拿去了，将以色列王所罗门所造耶和华殿里的金器都毁坏了，正如耶和华所说的；又将耶路撒冷的众民和众首领，并所有大能的勇士，共一万人，连一切木匠、铁匠都掳了去；除了国中极贫穷的人以外，没有剩下的；并将约雅斤和王母、后妃、太监，与国中的大官，都从耶路撒冷掳到巴比伦去了；又将一切勇士七千人和木匠、铁匠一千人，都是能上阵的勇士，全掳到巴比伦去了。

犹大因遭遇苦难，又因多服劳苦就迁到外邦。她住在列国中，寻不着安息；追逼她的都在狭窄之地将她追上。

在西底家眼前杀了他的众子，并且剜了西底家的眼睛，用铜链锁着他，带到巴比伦去。

耶和华对我说：“那些先知托我的名说假预言，我并没有打发他们，没有吩咐他们，也没有对他们说话；他们向你们预言的，乃是虚假的异象和占卜，并虚无的事，以及本心的诡诈。

耶和华的受膏者好比我们鼻中的气，在他们的坑中被捉住；我们曾论到他说：“我们必在他荫下，在列国中存活。”

西底家十一年四月初九日，城被攻破。

跟从护卫长迦勒底的全军就拆毁耶路撒冷四围的城墙。

人向他们喊着说：“不洁净的，躲开，躲开！不要挨近我！”他们逃走飘流的时候，列国中有人说：“他们不可仍在这里寄居。”
