有自視為義而藐視他人者、耶穌設喻謂之曰、二人登聖殿祈禱、一法利賽人、一稅吏、法利賽人獨立祈禱曰、感謝天主、我不似他人、強索、不義、姦淫、亦不似此稅吏、

有一種人自以為潔、而實未滌其污、

以律法言、則為法利賽人、以熱心言、則窘逐教會、以守律法之義言、則無過可責、然此一切、昔我以為益、今為基督皆以為損、

昔我無律法而生、誡至、罪生而我死、

耶穌謂之曰、爾在人前、自稱為義、但天主知爾之心、蓋人所崇者、天主所惡也、

長子對父曰、我事父多年、未嘗違命、父未以羔賜我、俾我與友同樂、
