迨豫指耶穌之言、悉見應驗、乃自木取下、葬之墓塋、

夫基督已代我受詛、而贖我於律法之詛矣。蓋經有云：『懸於木上者、服咒咀』也。

故耶穌亦自殉於邑門之外、俾以其血聖化萬民。因此亦宜出而就之於營外、而與之共受垢辱。

肩負吾人罪累於十字聖架之上。彼之為此、惟欲吾人死於罪而生於義、「以彼創傷、療我瘡痍」云耳。

『茲吾曹上耶路撒冷、人子將被付于經生長老司祭長。若輩將擬之于死付諸異邦人、侮而唾之、鞭而殺之；第三日復活。』

且正如摩西舉銅蛇於野、人子亦將被舉、

被爾懸木而殉之耶穌、已為吾祖之天主所復活；

耶穌曾預示其致命之情形、於是驗矣。

解送外邦人、受辱受撻、釘死於十字架上、至第三日復活。』
