那时有上万的人群聚集，甚至彼此践踏。耶稣一开始先对他的门徒们说：“你们要提防法利赛人的酵母，就是伪善。

有一大群人来到他面前，带着瘸腿的、瞎眼的、残疾的、聋哑的还有许多其他人，把他们放在耶稣脚前；耶稣就使他们痊愈了。结果众人看见聋哑的说话，残疾的康复，瘸腿的行走，瞎眼的看见，都感到惊奇，就荣耀以色列的神。

于是，这消息传遍了那整个地区。

但那个人一出去，就开始大加宣扬，把这件事传开了，结果耶稣不能再公开进城，只好留在外面荒僻的地方。可是人们还是从各处来到他那里。过了些日子，耶稣又进了迦百农。人们听说他在房子里，许多人就聚集，甚至连门前都没有空处了。于是耶稣就向他们讲道。

耶稣走遍全加利利，在他们的会堂里教导人，传天国的福音，并且使民中各样的疾病和各样的症状痊愈。他的消息就在全叙利亚省传开了。人们把所有的病人，就是患各种疾病的、受疼痛折磨的、有鬼魔附身的、癫痫的、瘫痪的，都带到耶稣那里。耶稣就使他们痊愈。于是有一大群人从加利利、德卡波利斯、耶路撒冷、犹太和约旦河对岸来，跟随耶稣。

于是耶稣的消息很快地传遍了加利利周围所有的地区。

有一大群人，因为看到他在病人身上所行的神迹，就跟随他。

有一大群人与耶稣同行。他转过身来对他们说：

耶稣与他的门徒们退到湖边，有一大群从加利利来的人跟随他；还有来自犹太、

敬畏耶和华是智慧所训导的；荣耀之前，先有谦卑。

照样，美好行为也是明显的，即使是那些不明显的，也不能一直隐藏下去。
