“ But I tell you who hear: love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,

我語爾聽之者曰、敵爾者愛之、憾爾者善視之、

吾語汝、敵爾者、愛之、憾爾者、善視之、

我語爾聽道之人、敵爾者愛之、憾爾者善待之、

我告爾眾、爾其諦聽！「愛爾仇、恤爾敵；」

“ But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,

“ But here is what I tell you who are listening. Love your enemies. Do good to those who hate you.

“ But I say to you who hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,

“ But to you who are willing to listen, I say, love your enemies! Do good to those who hate you.

But I say unto you that hear, Love your enemies, do good to them that hate you,

See that no one returns evil for evil to anyone, but always follow after that which is good for one another and for all.

But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing back; and your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High; for he is kind toward the unthankful and evil.

Don’t rejoice when your enemy falls. Don’t let your heart be glad when he is overthrown,

If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat. If he is thirsty, give him water to drink;for you will heap coals of fire on his head, and Yahweh will reward you.

“ You have heard that it was said,‘ You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you,that you may be children of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust.

So then, as we have opportunity, let’s do what is good toward all men, and especially toward those who are of the household of the faith.

“ If you meet your enemy’s ox or his donkey going astray, you shall surely bring it back to him again.If you see the donkey of him who hates you fallen down under his burden, don’t leave him. You shall surely help him with it.

Repay no one evil for evil. Respect what is honorable in the sight of all men.If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men.Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written,“ Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.”Therefore“ If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head.”Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

He said to them,“ Take heed what you hear. With whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you, and more will be given to you who hear.

“ If I have rejoiced at the destruction of him who hated me, or lifted up myself when evil found him( yes, I have not allowed my mouth to sin by asking his life with a curse);if the men of my tent have not said,‘ Who can find one who has not been filled with his meat?’

Blessed are you when men hate you, and when they exclude and mock you, and throw out your name as evil, for the Son of Man’s sake.

Those in the good ground, these are those who with an honest and good heart, having heard the word, hold it tightly, and produce fruit with perseverance.

even Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed him with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.

He kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice,“ Lord, don’t hold this sin against them!” When he had said this, he fell asleep.

It is the glory of God to conceal a thing, but the glory of kings is to search out a matter.
