耶穌復諷諭之曰：『瞽而導瞽、有不相將入坑者乎？

He also told them this parable:“ Can the blind lead the blind? Will they not both fall into a pit?

Now He also spoke a parable to them:“ A person who is blind cannot guide another who is blind, can he? Will they not both fall into a pit?

But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.

If anyone teaches a different doctrine, and doesn’t consent to sound words, the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness,he is conceited, knowing nothing, but obsessed with arguments, disputes, and word battles, from which come envy, strife, insulting, evil suspicions,constant friction of people of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. Withdraw yourself from such.

For those who lead this people lead them astray; and those who are led by them are destroyed.

“ Woe to you, you blind guides, who say,‘ Whoever swears by the temple, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gold of the temple, he is obligated.’You blind fools! For which is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifies the gold?‘ Whoever swears by the altar, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gift that is on it, he is obligated?’You blind fools! For which is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifies the gift?He therefore who swears by the altar, swears by it, and by everything on it.He who swears by the temple, swears by it, and by him who has been living in it.He who swears by heaven, swears by the throne of God, and by him who sits on it.“ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint, dill, and cumin, and have left undone the weightier matters of the law: justice, mercy, and faith. But you ought to have done these, and not to have left the other undone.You blind guides, who strain out a gnat, and swallow a camel!“ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and unrighteousness.You blind Pharisee, first clean the inside of the cup and of the platter, that its outside may become clean also.

Therefore Yahweh says concerning the prophets who prophesy in my name, but I didn’t send them, yet they say,‘ Sword and famine will not be in this land.’ Those prophets will be consumed by sword and famine.The people to whom they prophesy will be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the sword. They will have no one to bury them— them, their wives, their sons, or their daughters, for I will pour their wickedness on them.

You serpents, you offspring of vipers, how will you escape the judgment of Gehenna?

“ Therefore night is over you, with no vision, and it is dark to you, that you may not divine; and the sun will go down on the prophets, and the day will be black over them.The seers shall be disappointed, and the diviners confounded. Yes, they shall all cover their lips; for there is no answer from God.”

Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? No, they were not at all ashamed. They couldn’t blush. Therefore they will fall among those who fall. In the time of their visitation they will be cast down, says Yahweh.

Yahweh said to me,“ Take for yourself yet again the equipment of a foolish shepherd.For, behold, I will raise up a shepherd in the land, who will not visit those who are cut off, neither will seek those who are scattered, nor heal that which is broken, nor feed that which is sound; but he will eat the meat of the fat sheep, and will tear their hoofs in pieces.Woe to the worthless shepherd who leaves the flock! The sword will be on his arm, and on his right eye. His arm will be completely withered, and his right eye will be totally blinded!”

Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? No, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush. Therefore they will fall among those who fall. When I visit them, they will be cast down,” says Yahweh.

His watchmen are blind. They are all without knowledge. They are all mute dogs. They can’t bark— dreaming, lying down, loving to slumber.

and are confident that you yourself are a guide of the blind, a light to those who are in darkness,
