“好树结好果子，坏树结坏果子，看果子就能知道树的好坏。

因为上帝拯救世人的恩典已经显明了，这恩典教导我们除掉不敬虔的心和世俗的私欲，在今世过自律、公义、敬畏上帝的生活，怀着美好的盼望等候耶稣基督——我们伟大的上帝和救主的荣耀显现。

顺从罪恶本性而行的事显而易见，如淫乱、污秽、邪荡、拜偶像、行邪术、仇恨、争吵、忌恨、恼怒、纷争、冲突、分裂、嫉妒、凶杀、醉酒和荒宴无度等。我从前警告过你们，现在再一次警告你们：行这些事的人必不能承受上帝的国。但圣灵所结的果子是仁爱、喜乐、和平、忍耐、恩慈、良善、信实、温柔、节制。没有律法会禁止这些事。

这些人在你们的爱宴中是败类。他们肆无忌惮地吃喝，是只顾喂养自己的牧人；是没有雨的云，随风飘荡；是深秋不结果子的树，被连根拔起，彻底枯死。
