耶稣又进了会堂。那里有个人，他的一只手枯萎了。有些人就密切注意耶稣会不会在安息日使那个人痊愈，这是为要控告耶稣。耶稣对那手枯萎的人说：“起来，站到中间来！”耶稣问他们：“在安息日可以行善还是作恶，救命还是害命？”他们却不做声。耶稣愤怒地环视他们，又为他们心里刚硬而忧伤，就对那个人说：“伸出手来！”他一伸出来，手就复原了。那些法利赛人就出去，立刻与希律党的人一起商议怎样对付耶稣，好除灭他。

耶稣离开那地方，进了他们的会堂。看哪，有个一只手枯萎的人。有些人就问耶稣，说：“在安息日使人痊愈，是否可以呢？”这是为要控告耶稣。耶稣对他们说：“你们当中有哪一个人，如果他有一只羊在安息日掉进坑里，他不会抓住羊，把它拉上来呢？人比羊重要多了！所以，在安息日做好事是可以的。”于是耶稣对那个人说：“伸出你的手！”他一伸出来，手就复原了，和另一只一样健全。那些法利赛人就出去，商议怎样对付耶稣，好除灭他。

耶稣下到加利利的一个城迦百农去，在安息日教导人。

耶稣来到拿撒勒，就是他长大的地方。在安息日那天，他照自己的习惯进了会堂，站起来要诵读经文。

柱廊里躺着一群患病的，有瞎眼的、瘸腿的、瘫痪的。他们正等着池水动起来，

耶稣走遍全加利利，在他们的会堂里教导人，传天国的福音，并且使民中各样的疾病和各样的症状痊愈。

在安息日，耶稣在一个会堂里教导人，

法利赛人中的有些人说：“那个人不是从神那里来的，因为他不守安息日。”有些人却说：“一个罪人怎么能行这样的神迹呢？”他们之间就产生了分裂。

于是耶稣问律法师们和法利赛人，说：“在安息日使人痊愈，可以不可以？”

然后耶稣按手在她身上，她的腰立刻直了，她就不住地荣耀神。因为耶稣在安息日使人痊愈，会堂主管就很生气，对那群人说：“应该做工的日子有六天，所以你们在那些日子来得痊愈吧！但不要在安息日这一天。”

有一次在安息日，耶稣从麦田经过，他的门徒们摘下麦穗，用手搓着吃。
