You have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet you ask,“ How have we wearied him?” When you say,“ Everyone who does what is evil is good in the LORD’s sight, and he is delighted with them, or else where is the God of justice?”

You have wearied the Lord with your words.“ How have we wearied him?” you ask. By saying,“ All who do evil are good in the eyes of the Lord, and he is pleased with them” or“ Where is the God of justice?”

You have worn out the Lord by what you keep saying.“ How have we worn him out?” you ask. You have done it by saying,“ All those who do evil things are good in the Lord’ s sight. And he is pleased with them.” Or you ask,“ Is God really fair?”

You have wearied the Lord with your words. But you say,“ How have we wearied him?” By saying,“ Everyone who does evil is good in the sight of the Lord, and he delights in them.” Or by asking,“ Where is the God of justice?”

You have wearied the Lord with your words.“ How have we wearied him?” you ask. You have wearied him by saying that all who do evil are good in the Lord’s sight, and he is pleased with them. You have wearied him by asking,“ Where is the God of justice?”

You have wearied the Lord with your words. Yet you say,“ How have we wearied Him?” In that you say,“ Everyone who does evil is good in the sight of the Lord, and He delights in them,” or,“ Where is the God of justice?”

Ye have wearied Jehovah with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him? In that ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of Jehovah, and he delighteth in them; or where is the God of justice?

You have wearied the Lord with your words. Yet you ask,“ How have we wearied Him?” When you say,“ Everyone who does what is evil is good in the Lord’s sight, and He is pleased with them,” or“ Where is the God of justice?”

Ye have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied[ him]? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil[ is] good in the sight of the LORD, and he delighteth in them; or, Where[ is] the God of judgment?

You have wearied the LORD with your words. But you say,“ How have we wearied him?” Because you say,“ Everyone who does evil is good in the Lord’s opinion, and he delights in them,” or“ Where is the God of justice?”

You have wearied Yahweh with your words. Yet you say,‘ How have we wearied him?’ In that you say,‘ Everyone who does evil is good in Yahweh’s sight, and he delights in them;’ or‘ Where is the God of justice?’

You have not bought me aromatic cane with silver, or satisfied me with the fat of your sacrifices. But you have burdened me with your sins; you have wearied me with your iniquities.

Because the sentence against an evil act is not carried out quickly, the heart of people is filled with the desire to commit evil.

Woe to those who drag iniquity with cords of deceit and pull sin along with cart ropes,to those who say,“ Let him hurry up and do his work quickly so that we can see it! Let the plan of the Holy One of Israel take place so that we can know it!”Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness, who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.

And at that time I will search Jerusalem with lamps and punish those who settle down comfortably, who say to themselves: The LORD will do nothing— good or bad.

For I envied the arrogant; I saw the prosperity of the wicked.They have an easy time until they die, and their bodies are well fed.They are not in trouble like others; they are not afflicted like most people.Therefore, pride is their necklace, and violence covers them like a garment.Their eyes bulge out from fatness; the imaginations of their hearts run wild.They mock, and they speak maliciously; they arrogantly threaten oppression.They set their mouths against heaven, and their tongues strut across the earth.Therefore his people turn to them and drink in their overflowing words.The wicked say,“ How can God know? Does the Most High know everything?”Look at them— the wicked! They are always at ease, and they increase their wealth.Did I purify my heart and wash my hands in innocence for nothing?For I am afflicted all day long and punished every morning.If I had decided to say these things aloud, I would have betrayed your people.

Above all, be aware of this: Scoffers will come in the last days scoffing and following their own evil desires,saying,“ Where is his‘ coming’ that he promised? Ever since our ancestors fell asleep, all things continue as they have been since the beginning of creation.”

He answered me,“ The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is extremely great; the land is full of bloodshed, and the city full of perversity. For they say,‘ The LORD has abandoned the land; he does not see.’

Yet now you are obsessed with the judgment due the wicked; judgment and justice have seized you.

You have left me.” This is the LORD’s declaration.“ You have turned your back, so I have stretched out my hand against you and destroyed you. I am tired of showing compassion.

“ Will a man rob God? Yet you are robbing me!”“ How do we rob you?” you ask.“ By not making the payments of the tenth and the contributions.

Therefore the LORD is waiting to show you mercy, and is rising up to show you compassion, for the LORD is a just God. All who wait patiently for him are happy.

For Job has declared,“ I am righteous, yet God has deprived me of justice.Would I lie about my case? My wound is incurable, though I am without transgression.”What man is like Job? He drinks derision like water.He keeps company with evildoers and walks with wicked men.For he has said,“ A man gains nothing when he becomes God’s friend.”

Isaiah said,“ Listen, house of David! Is it not enough for you to try the patience of men? Will you also try the patience of my God?

The Rock— his work is perfect; all his ways are just. A faithful God, without bias, he is righteous and true.

And you ask,“ Why?” Because even though the LORD has been a witness between you and the wife of your youth, you have acted treacherously against her. She was your marriage partner and your wife by covenant.

If only Job were tested to the limit, because his answers are like those of wicked men.

“ Your words against me are harsh,” says the LORD. Yet you ask,“ What have we spoken against you?”You have said,“ It is useless to serve God. What have we gained by keeping his requirements and walking mournfully before the LORD of Armies?So now we consider the arrogant to be fortunate. Not only do those who commit wickedness prosper, they even test God and escape.”

Because you did not remember the days of your youth but enraged me with all these things, I will also bring your conduct down on your own head. This is the declaration of the Lord GOD. Haven’t you committed depravity in addition to all your detestable practices?

Look, I am about to crush you in your place as a wagon crushes when full of grain.

where your ancestors tested me; they tried me, though they had seen what I did.For forty years I was disgusted with that generation; I said,“ They are a people whose hearts go astray; they do not know my ways.”

“ A son honors his father, and a servant his master. But if I am a father, where is my honor? And if I am a master, where is your fear of me? says the LORD of Armies to you priests, who despise my name.” Yet you ask,“ How have we despised your name?”“ By presenting defiled food on my altar.”“ How have we defiled you?” you ask. When you say,“ The LORD’s table is contemptible.”

He says to himself,“ God has forgotten; he hides his face and will never see.”Rise up, LORD God! Lift up your hand. Do not forget the oppressed.Why has the wicked person despised God? He says to himself,“ You will not demand an account.”

I hate your New Moons and prescribed festivals. They have become a burden to me; I am tired of putting up with them.

He said to me,“ Son of man, do you see what the elders of the house of Israel are doing in the darkness, each at the shrine of his idol? For they are saying,‘ The LORD does not see us. The LORD has abandoned the land.’”

Could one who hates justice govern the world? Will you condemn the mighty Righteous One,

For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say,‘ He has a demon!’The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say,‘ Look, a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ Yet wisdom is vindicated by her deeds.”

Do not boast so proudly, or let arrogant words come out of your mouth, for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and actions are weighed by him.
