惟爾曹離棄正道、爾之教律法、使多人顛蹶、廢壞利未人之約、此乃萬有之主所言、

But you have turned from the way and by your teaching have caused many to stumble; you have violated the covenant with Levi,” says the Lord Almighty.

“ Therefore Yahweh, the God of Israel, says,‘ I said indeed that your house and the house of your father should walk before me forever.’ But now Yahweh says,‘ Far be it from me; for those who honor me I will honor, and those who despise me will be cursed.

“ Why do your disciples disobey the tradition of the elders? For they don’t wash their hands when they eat bread.”He answered them,“ Why do you also disobey the commandment of God because of your tradition?For God commanded,‘ Honor your father and your mother,’ and,‘ He who speaks evil of father or mother, let him be put to death.’But you say,‘ Whoever may tell his father or his mother,“ Whatever help you might otherwise have gotten from me is a gift devoted to God,”

I have not turned away from your ordinances, for you have taught me.

“ Therefore I have also made you contemptible and wicked before all the people, according to the way you have not kept my ways, but have had respect for persons in the law.Don’t we all have one father? Hasn’t one God created us? Why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, profaning the covenant of our fathers?

It is good to not eat meat, drink wine, nor do anything by which your brother stumbles, is offended, or is made weak.

He shall not profane his offspring among his people, for I am Yahweh who sanctifies him.’”

One of the lawyers answered him,“ Teacher, in saying this you insult us also.”He said,“ Woe to you lawyers also! For you load men with burdens that are difficult to carry, and you yourselves won’t even lift one finger to help carry those burdens.

Beware, brothers, lest perhaps there might be in any one of you an evil heart of unbelief, in falling away from the living God;

Yahweh says:“ Cursed is the man who trusts in man, relies on strength of flesh, and whose heart departs from Yahweh.

For I have kept the ways of Yahweh, and have not wickedly departed from my God.

we have sinned, and have dealt perversely, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even turning aside from your precepts and from your ordinances.We haven’t listened to your servants the prophets, who spoke in your name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.

for both prophet and priest are profane. Yes, in my house I have found their wickedness,” says Yahweh.Therefore their way will be to them as slippery places in the darkness. They will be driven on, and fall therein; for I will bring evil on them, even the year of their visitation,” says Yahweh.“ I have seen folly in the prophets of Samaria. They prophesied by Baal, and caused my people Israel to err.In the prophets of Jerusalem I have also seen a horrible thing: they commit adultery and walk in lies. They strengthen the hands of evildoers, so that no one returns from his wickedness. They have all become to me as Sodom, and its inhabitants as Gomorrah.”Therefore Yahweh of Armies says concerning the prophets:“ Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink poisoned water; for from the prophets of Jerusalem ungodliness has gone out into all the land.”

No, my sons; for it is not a good report that I hear! You make Yahweh’s people disobey.

and are confident that you yourself are a guide of the blind, a light to those who are in darkness,a corrector of the foolish, a teacher of babies, having in the law the form of knowledge and of the truth.You therefore who teach another, don’t you teach yourself? You who preach that a man shouldn’t steal, do you steal?You who say a man shouldn’t commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples?You who glory in the law, do you dishonor God by disobeying the law?For“ the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you,” just as it is written.

“‘“ But the Levites who went far from me, when Israel went astray, who went astray from me after their idols, they will bear their iniquity.

Yahweh, the hope of Israel, all who forsake you will be disappointed. Those who depart from me will be written in the earth, because they have forsaken Yahweh, the spring of living waters.

For those who lead this people lead them astray; and those who are led by them are destroyed.
