You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.

You nest of poisonous snakes! How can you who are evil say anything good? Your mouths say everything that is in your hearts.

You brood of vipers! How can you speak good, when you are evil? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

You brood of snakes! How could evil men like you speak what is good and right? For whatever is in your heart determines what you say.

Brood of vipers! How can you speak good things when you are evil? For the mouth speaks from the overflow of the heart.

The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings out that which is good, and the evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings out that which is evil, for out of the abundance of the heart, his mouth speaks.

But the things which proceed out of the mouth come out of the heart, and they defile the man.

As the proverb of the ancients says,‘ Out of the wicked comes wickedness;’ but my hand will not be on you.

So the tongue is also a little member, and boasts great things. See how a small fire can spread to a large forest!And the tongue is a fire. The world of iniquity among our members is the tongue, which defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature, and is set on fire by Gehenna.For every kind of animal, bird, creeping thing, and sea creature, is tamed, and has been tamed by mankind;but nobody can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.

Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear.

As it is written,“ There is no one righteous; no, not one.There is no one who understands. There is no one who seeks after God.They have all turned away. They have together become unprofitable. There is no one who does good, no, not so much as one.”“ Their throat is an open tomb. With their tongues they have used deceit.”“ The poison of vipers is under their lips.”“ Their mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.”

The good man out of his good treasure brings out good things, and the evil man out of his evil treasure brings out evil things.

You are of your father, the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and doesn’t stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks on his own; for he is a liar, and the father of lies.

For the fool will speak folly, and his heart will work iniquity, to practice profanity, and to utter error against Yahweh, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and to cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.

those who devise mischief in their hearts. They continually gather themselves together for war.They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent. Viper’s poison is under their lips. Selah.

He says in his heart,“ I shall not be shaken. For generations I shall have no trouble.”His mouth is full of cursing, deceit, and oppression. Under his tongue is mischief and iniquity.

Justice is turned away backward, and righteousness stands far away; for truth has fallen in the street, and uprightness can’t enter.

The fool has said in his heart,“ There is no God.” They are corrupt, and have done abominable iniquity. There is no one who does good.

You serpents, you offspring of vipers, how will you escape the judgment of Gehenna?

He said therefore to the multitudes who went out to be baptized by him,“ You offspring of vipers, who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

No one sues in righteousness, and no one pleads in truth. They trust in vanity, and speak lies. They conceive mischief, and give birth to iniquity.

Deliver my soul, Yahweh, from lying lips, from a deceitful tongue.What will be given to you, and what will be done more to you, you deceitful tongue?Sharp arrows of the mighty, with coals of juniper.

Your tongue plots destruction, like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.You love evil more than good, lying rather than speaking the truth. Selah.You love all devouring words, you deceitful tongue.God will likewise destroy you forever. He will take you up, and pluck you out of your tent, and root you out of the land of the living. “ Stand in the gate of Yahweh’s house, and proclaim this word there, and say,‘ Hear Yahweh’s word, all you of Judah, who enter in at these gates to worship Yahweh.’”Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel says,“ Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place.Don’t trust in lying words, saying,‘ Yahweh’s temple, Yahweh’s temple, Yahweh’s temple, are these.’For if you thoroughly amend your ways and your doings, if you thoroughly execute justice between a man and his neighbor;

They encourage themselves in evil plans. They talk about laying snares secretly. They say,“ Who will see them?”
