This is why I speak to them in parables:“ Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand.

但如果我們的福音真的被遮蓋了，也是在那些正滅亡的人中被遮蓋的。對於他們，這世代的神把這些不信之人的心眼弄瞎了，使他們不能洞察基督榮耀的福音之光。基督就是神的形像。

「所定的罪是這樣的：光來到了世界，人們卻因自己的行為邪惡，不喜愛光，反喜愛黑暗。事實上，所有作惡的人，都憎恨光，不來到光那裡，免得自己的行為被揭露出來；

耶穌說：「我到這世上來是為了行審判，使看不見的能看見，使看得見的反而瞎了眼。」與耶穌在那裡的一些法利賽人聽了這些話，就說：「難道我們也是瞎眼的嗎？」耶穌對他們說：「如果你們是瞎眼的，就沒有罪了。但如今你們說『我們能看見』，所以你們的罪仍然存在。

「耳聾之人哪，你們要聽！瞎眼之人哪，你們要睜眼看！除了我僕人以外，有誰是瞎眼的？有誰像我所派遣的使者那樣是耳聾的？有誰像我所揀選的人那樣是瞎眼的，有誰像耶和華的僕人那樣是瞎眼的？你們看見許多事，卻沒有留意；耳朵開著，卻沒有聽見。」

「但你們的眼睛是蒙福的，因為看見了；你們的耳朵是蒙福的，因為聽見了。

耶穌知道了，就問他們：「你們為什麼討論沒有餅的事呢？你們還不明白，還不領悟，還是硬著心嗎？你們有眼睛卻看不見，有耳朵卻聽不見嗎？難道不記得嗎？
