留心聽智慧，致力求聰明；如果你為求哲理而呼喊，為求聰明而揚聲；如果你尋找它如同尋找銀子，搜尋它好像搜尋寶藏；你就明白怎樣敬畏耶和華，並且獲得對神的認識。

一切智慧和知識的寶庫都蘊藏在基督裡面。

得智慧勝過得金子，選擇哲理，勝過選擇銀子。

因著信，摩西長大了以後，就拒絕被稱為法老女兒的兒子。他寧願選擇和神的子民一同受苦，也不肯享受罪惡中暫時的快樂。在他看來，為著基督受的凌辱，比埃及的財物更寶貴，因為他注視將來的賞賜。

然而以前對我有益的，現在因著基督的緣故，我都當作是有損的。不但這樣，我也把萬事當作是有損的，因為我以認識我主基督耶穌為至寶。為了他，我把萬事都拋棄了，看作廢物，為了要得著基督。並且得以在他裡面，不是有自己因律法而得的義，而是有因信基督而得的義，就是基於信心，從神而來的義，

這樣，你們中間不論誰，如果不撇下一切所有的，就不能作我的門徒。

你的財寶在哪裡，你的心也在哪裡。

你要買真理，不可出賣；要得智慧、教訓和哲理。

他聽見這話，非常憂愁，因為他十分富有。耶穌見他這樣，就說：“富有的人要進神的國，是多麼難哪！

凡為我的名撇下房屋、兄弟、姊妹、父母、兒女或田地的，他必得著百倍，並且承受永生。

那時彼得對他說：“你看，我們已經捨棄一切跟從了你，我們會得到甚麼呢？”

唉！口渴的人哪！你們都就近水來吧。沒有銀錢的，你們也要來，買了就吃。你們要來，買酒和奶，不用銀子，也不用付代價。

我勸你向我買精煉的金子，使你富足；又買白衣穿上，使你赤身的羞恥不會顯露出來；也買眼藥膏抹你的眼睛，使你可以看見。

正如經上所記：“神為愛他的人所預備的，是眼睛未曾見過，耳朵未曾聽過，人心也未曾想到的。”但神卻藉著聖靈把這些向我們顯明了，因為聖靈測透萬事，連神深奧的事也測透了。

耶穌對他說：“如果你想要完全，就去變賣你所有的，分給窮人，你就必定有財寶在天上，而且你要來跟從我。”

所有信的人都在一起，凡物公用，並且變賣產業和財物，按照各人的需要分給他們。他們天天同心在殿裡恆切地聚集，一家一家地擘餅，存著歡樂和誠懇的心用飯，又讚美神，並且得到全民的喜愛。主將得救的人，天天加給教會。

耶穌對他們另外講了一個比喻，說：“天國好像人把好的種子撒在田裡。

他就趕快下來，歡歡喜喜地接待耶穌。眾人看見就紛紛議論說：“他竟到罪人家裡去住宿！”撒該站著對主說：“主啊，請看，我要把家財的一半分給窮人，我若敲詐了誰，就還他四倍。”

因為你們已經死了，你們的生命與基督一同隱藏在神裡面。基督就是你們的生命，他顯現的時候，你們也要和他一同在榮耀裡顯現。

你們同情那些遭監禁的人；你們的家業被搶奪的時候，又以喜樂的心接受，因為知道自己有更美長存的家業。

全體信徒一心一意，沒有一個人說自己的財物是自己的，他們凡物公用。使徒大有能力，為主耶穌的復活作見證，眾人都蒙了大恩。他們中間沒有一個有缺乏的，因為凡有田產房屋的都賣了，把得到的錢拿來，放在使徒腳前，照著各人的需要來分配。

愚昧人既是無知，為甚麼手裡拿著價銀要買智慧呢？

從前經上所寫的，都是為教訓我們而寫的，好使我們藉著忍耐和聖經中的安慰得著盼望。

耶穌說：“我就是生命的食物，到我這裡來的，必定不餓；信我的，永遠不渴。

你們要讓基督的道豐豐富富地住在你們心裡，以各樣的智慧，彼此教導，互相勸戒，用詩章、聖詩、靈歌，懷著感恩的心歌頌神。

離群獨處的，只顧自己的心願；他抗拒一切大智慧。
