爾等於意云何、人有百羊而亡其一、有不暫留其九十九於山、而追尋其所失者乎：

“你们中间谁有一百只羊失去一只，不把这九十九只撇在旷野、去找那失去的羊，直到找着呢？找着了，就欢欢喜喜地扛在肩上，回到家里，就请朋友邻舍来，对他们说：‘我失去的羊已经找着了，你们和我一同欢喜吧！’我告诉你们，一个罪人悔改，在天上也要这样为他欢喜，较比为九十九个不用悔改的义人欢喜更大。”

牧人在羊群四散的日子怎样寻找他的羊，我必照样寻找我的羊。这些羊在密云黑暗的日子散到各处，我必从那里救回它们来。

他们必不再作外邦人的掠物，地上的野兽也不再吞吃他们；却要安然居住，无人惊吓。

我的羊在诸山间、在各高冈上流离，在全地上分散，无人去寻，无人去找。

“我的百姓作了迷失的羊，牧人使他们走差路，使他们转到山上。他们从大山走到小山，竟忘了安歇之处。

失丧的，我必寻找；被逐的，我必领回；受伤的，我必缠裹；有病的，我必医治；只是肥的壮的，我必除灭，也要秉公牧养它们。

又说：“一个人有两个儿子。他来对大儿子说：‘我儿，你今天到葡萄园里去做工。’

我是好牧人；好牧人为羊舍命。若是雇工，不是牧人，羊也不是他自己的，他看见狼来，就撇下羊逃走；狼抓住羊，赶散了羊群。雇工逃走，因他是雇工，并不顾念羊。我是好牧人；我认识我的羊，我的羊也认识我，正如父认识我，我也认识父一样；并且我为羊舍命。我另外有羊，不是这圈里的；我必须领他们来，他们也要听我的声音，并且要合成一群，归一个牧人了。我父爱我，因我将命舍去，好再取回来。没有人夺我的命去，是我自己舍的。我有权柄舍了，也有权柄取回来。这是我从我父所受的命令。”犹太人为这些话又起了纷争。内中有好些人说：“他是被鬼附着，而且疯了，为什么听他呢？”又有人说：“这不是鬼附之人所说的话。鬼岂能叫瞎子的眼睛开了呢？”

耶稣说：“你们中间谁有一只羊，当安息日掉在坑里，不把它抓住、拉上来呢？

你们从前好像迷路的羊，如今却归到你们灵魂的牧人监督了。

我们都如羊走迷；各人偏行己路；耶和华使我们众人的罪孽都归在他身上。

我好像对明白人说的，你们要审察我的话。

我如亡羊走迷了路，求你寻找仆人，因我不忘记你的命令。

“论到基督，你们的意见如何？他是谁的子孙呢？”他们回答说：“是大卫的子孙。”
