“ No, not seven times,” Jesus replied,“ but seventy times seven!

耶穌曰、我所謂非僅於七、乃七十乘七也、

耶穌曰、奚止於七、乃七十復以七相乘也、

耶穌曰、我告爾、不僅七次、乃七十之七次也、

耶穌曰：『吾語爾不僅七次而已、必也七十倍之七次乎。

Jesus answered,“ I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.

Jesus said to him,“ I do not say to you seven times, but seventy-seven times.

“ I tell you, not as many as seven,” Jesus replied,“ but seventy times seven.

Jesus* said to him,“ I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy seven times.

Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times; but, Until seventy times seven.

“ I tell you, not as many as seven,” Jesus said to him,“ but 70 times seven.

Jesus said to him,“ Not seven times, I tell you, but seventy- seven times!

Jesus said to him,“ I don’t tell you until seven times, but, until seventy times seven.

Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.

“ If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you.But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior.Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children.

But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too.”

And“ don’t sin by letting anger control you.” Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry,

Give us today the food we need,and forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us.

In every place of worship, I want men to pray with holy hands lifted up to God, free from anger and controversy.

Let the wicked change their ways and banish the very thought of doing wrong. Let them turn to the Lord that he may have mercy on them. Yes, turn to our God, for he will forgive generously.

If someone who kills Cain is punished seven times, then the one who kills me will be punished seventy seven times!”

Once again you will have compassion on us. You will trample our sins under your feet and throw them into the depths of the ocean!

Don’t let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good.
