Jesus replied,“ Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning.

He said to them,“ Because of your hardness of heart Moses allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so.

你们又行了一件这样的事，使前妻叹息哭泣的眼泪遮盖耶和华的坛，以致耶和华不再看顾那供物，也不乐意从你们手中收纳。你们还说：“这是为什么呢？”因耶和华在你和你幼年所娶的妻中间作见证。她虽是你的配偶，又是你盟约的妻，你却以诡诈待她。

耶和华如此说：“你们当站在路上察看，访问古道，哪是善道，便行在其间；这样，你们心里必得安息。他们却说：‘我们不行在其间。’

因此，人要离开父母，与妻子连合，二人成为一体。

挪亚就同他的妻和儿子儿妇都进入方舟，躲避洪水。

耶稣回答说：“你暂且许我，因为我们理当这样尽诸般的义。”于是约翰许了他。

你们不可硬着心，像当日在米利巴，就是在旷野的玛撒。

使心硬如金钢石，不听律法和万军之耶和华用灵藉从前的先知所说的话。故此，万军之耶和华大发烈怒。

耶稣说：“摩西因为你们的心硬，所以写这条例给你们；

鬼就央求耶稣，说：“若把我们赶出去，就打发我们进入猪群吧！”

我说这话，原是准你们的，不是命你们的。
