他母亲告诉仆人说：“他吩咐你们什么，就作什么。”在那里有六口石缸，每口可盛两三桶水，是为犹太人行洁净礼用的。耶稣吩咐仆人：“把缸都倒满水！”他们就倒满了，直到缸口。耶稣又吩咐他们：“现在舀出来，送给筵席的总管！”他们就送去了。

他就差派两个门徒，对他们说：“你们到城里去，必有一个拿着水瓶的人，向你们迎面而来，你们就跟着他，无论他进入哪一家，你们要对那家主说，老师说：‘我的客厅在哪里？我和门徒好在那里吃逾越节的晚餐。’他必指给你们楼上一间布置整齐、预备妥当的大房间，你们就在那里为我们预备。”门徒出去，进了城，所遇见的正如耶稣所说的，就预备好了逾越节的晚餐。

说：“你们往对面的村子里去，走进去的时候，就会看见一头从来没有人骑过的小驴，拴在那里，把它解开牵来。如果有人问为什么解开它，你们要这样说：‘主需要它。’”被差的人去了，发现和主所说的一样。

他说：“你们到城里去见某人，对他说，老师说：‘我的时候快到了；我要到你那里和我的门徒守逾越节。’”
