Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by God’s will, and Timothy our brother:To the saints in Christ at Colossae, who are faithful brothers and sisters. Grace to you and peace from God our Father.

What I am saying is this: One of you says,“ I belong to Paul,” or“ I belong to Apollos,” or“ I belong to Cephas,” or“ I belong to Christ.”Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in Paul’s name?

So immediately he went up to Jesus and said,“ Greetings, Rabbi!” and kissed him.

I do not mean that we lord it over your faith, but we are workers with you for your joy, because you stand firm in your faith.

not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock.

It is enough for a disciple to become like his teacher and a slave like his master. If they called the head of the house‘ Beelzebul,’ how much more the members of his household!

For we are not proclaiming ourselves but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’s sake.

from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named.

But he said to me,“ Don’t do that! I am a fellow servant with you, your brothers the prophets, and those who keep the words of this book. Worship God!”

Then I fell at his feet to worship him, but he said to me,“ Don’t do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers and sisters who hold firmly to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God, because the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”

because you are still worldly. For since there is envy and strife among you, are you not worldly and behaving like mere humans?For whenever someone says,“ I belong to Paul,” and another,“ I belong to Apollos,” are you not acting like mere humans?What then is Apollos? What is Paul? They are servants through whom you believed, and each has the role the Lord has given.

I, John, your brother and partner in the affliction, kingdom, and endurance that are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.

Christ died and returned to life for this: that he might be Lord over both the dead and the living.But you, why do you judge your brother or sister? Or you, why do you despise your brother or sister? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God.

You call me Teacher and Lord— and you are speaking rightly, since that is what I am.So if I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.
