The Lord said to Paul by a vision in the night,“ Do not be afraid, but speak and do not be silent,because I am with you, and no one will assault you to harm you, because I have many people in this city.”

No one will be able to resist you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not abandon you or leave you alone.

“ I will not abandon you as orphans, I will come to you.In a little while the world will not see me any longer, but you will see me; because I live, you will live too.You will know at that time that I am in my Father and you are in me and I am in you.The person who has my commandments and obeys them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and will reveal myself to him.”“ Lord,” Judas( not Judas Iscariot) said,“ what has happened that you are going to reveal yourself to us and not to the world?”Jesus replied,“ If anyone loves me, he will obey my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and take up residence with him.

“ Look! The virgin will conceive and bear a son, and they will call him Emmanuel,” which means“ God with us.”

The LORD was with Joseph. He was successful and lived in the household of his Egyptian master.His master observed that the LORD was with him and that the LORD made everything he was doing successful.

The LORD who commands armies is on our side! The God of Jacob is our protector!( Selah)

The one who testifies to these things says,“ Yes, I am coming soon!” Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all.

But you did not learn about Christ like this,if indeed you heard about him and were taught in him, just as the truth is in Jesus.You were taught with reference to your former way of life to lay aside the old man who is being corrupted in accordance with deceitful desires,to be renewed in the spirit of your mind,and to put on the new man who has been created in God’s image– in righteousness and holiness that comes from truth.Therefore, having laid aside falsehood, each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members of one another.Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on the cause of your anger.Do not give the devil an opportunity.The one who steals must steal no longer; rather he must labor, doing good with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with the one who has need.You must let no unwholesome word come out of your mouth, but only what is beneficial for the building up of the one in need, that it may give grace to those who hear.And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.You must put away every kind of bitterness, anger, wrath, quarreling, and evil, slanderous talk.Instead, be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ also forgave you.

For where two or three are assembled in my name, I am there among them.”

But as for you, communicate the behavior that goes with sound teaching.Older men are to be temperate, dignified, self- controlled, sound in faith, in love, and in endurance.Older women likewise are to exhibit behavior fitting for those who are holy, not slandering, not slaves to excessive drinking, but teaching what is good.In this way they will train the younger women to love their husbands, to love their children,to be self- controlled, pure, fulfilling their duties at home, kind, being subject to their own husbands, so that the message of God may not be discredited.Encourage younger men likewise to be self- controlled,showing yourself to be an example of good works in every way. In your teaching show integrity, dignity,and a sound message that cannot be criticized, so that any opponent will be at a loss, because he has nothing evil to say about us.Slaves are to be subject to their own masters in everything, to do what is wanted and not talk back,not pilfering, but showing all good faith, in order to bring credit to the teaching of God our Savior in everything.

If anyone considers himself a prophet or spiritual person, he should acknowledge that what I write to you is the Lord’s command.

Finally then, brothers and sisters, we ask you and urge you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received instruction from us about how you must live and please God( as you are in fact living) that you do so more and more.For you know what commands we gave you through the Lord Jesus.

It was he who gave some as apostles, some as prophets, some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers,to equip the saints for the work of ministry, that is, to build up the body of Christ,until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God– a mature person, attaining to the measure of Christ’s full stature.So we are no longer to be children, tossed back and forth by waves and carried about by every wind of teaching by the trickery of people who craftily carry out their deceitful schemes.But practicing the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into Christ, who is the head.From him the whole body grows, fitted and held together through every supporting ligament. As each one does its part, the body grows in love.So I say this, and insist in the Lord, that you no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking.

They went out and proclaimed everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the word through the accompanying signs.]]

We proclaim him by instructing and teaching all people with all wisdom so that we may present every person mature in Christ.

He replied,“ Surely I will be with you, and this will be the sign to you that I have sent you: When you bring the people out of Egypt, you and they will serve God on this mountain.”

But the LORD was with Joseph and showed him kindness. He granted him favor in the sight of the prison warden.

For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith excellence, to excellence, knowledge;to knowledge, self- control; to self- control, perseverance; to perseverance, godliness;to godliness, brotherly affection; to brotherly affection, unselfish love.For if these things are really yours and are continually increasing, they will keep you from becoming ineffective and unproductive in your pursuit of knowing our Lord Jesus Christ more intimately.But concerning the one who lacks such things– he is blind. That is to say, he is nearsighted, since he has forgotten about the cleansing of his past sins.Therefore, brothers and sisters, make every effort to be sure of your calling and election. For by doing this you will never stumble into sin.For thus an entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be richly provided for you.

And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.

“ Everyone who hears these words of mine and does them is like a wise man who built his house on rock.The rain fell, the flood came, and the winds beat against that house, but it did not collapse because it had been founded on rock.Everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them is like a foolish man who built his house on sand.The rain fell, the flood came, and the winds beat against that house, and it collapsed; it was utterly destroyed!”

It will spill into Judah, flooding and engulfing, as it reaches to the necks of its victims. He will spread his wings out over your entire land, O Immanuel.”You will be broken, O nations; you will be shattered! Pay attention, all you distant lands of the earth! Get ready for battle, and you will be shattered! Get ready for battle, and you will be shattered!Devise your strategy, but it will be thwarted! Issue your orders, but they will not be executed! For God is with us!

They were devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

I praise you because you remember me in everything and maintain the traditions just as I passed them on to you.

Be careful, therefore, to do exactly what the LORD your God has commanded you; do not turn right or left!

You once were not a people, but now you are God’s people. You were shown no mercy, but now you have received mercy.Dear friends, I urge you as foreigners and exiles to keep away from fleshly desires that do battle against the soul,and maintain good conduct among the non- Christians, so that though they now malign you as wrongdoers, they may see your good deeds and glorify God when he appears.Be subject to every human institution for the Lord’s sake, whether to a king as supremeor to governors as those he commissions to punish wrongdoers and praise those who do good.For God wants you to silence the ignorance of foolish people by doing good.Live as free people, not using your freedom as a pretext for evil, but as God’s slaves.Honor all people, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the king.Slaves, be subject to your masters with all reverence, not only to those who are good and gentle, but also to those who are perverse.For this finds God’s favor, if because of conscience toward God someone endures hardships in suffering unjustly.

and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are angels.As the weeds are collected and burned with fire, so it will be at the end of the age.

Blessed are those who wash their robes so they can have access to the tree of life and can enter into the city by the gates.

It will be this way at the end of the age. Angels will come and separate the evil from the righteous

His glorious name deserves praise forevermore! May his majestic splendor fill the whole earth! We agree! We agree!

Benaiah son of Jehoiada responded to the king:“ So be it! May the LORD God of my master the king confirm it!

But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, so that through me the message would be fully proclaimed for all the Gentiles to hear. And so I was delivered from the lion’s mouth!

For I did not hold back from announcing to you the whole purpose of God.

You know that I did not hold back from proclaiming to you anything that would be helpful, and from teaching you publicly and from house to house,testifying to both Jews and Greeks about repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus.

May the LORD God of Israel be praised, in the future and forevermore. Then all the people said,“ We agree! Praise the LORD!”

( 13: 1) You must be careful to do everything I am commanding you. Do not add to it or subtract from it!

I want you to recall both the predictions foretold by the holy prophets and the commandment of the Lord and Savior through your apostles.

For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night in which he was betrayed took bread,

and the one who lives! I was dead, but look, now I am alive– forever and ever– and I hold the keys of death and of Hades!

Those who are under the yoke as slaves must regard their own masters as deserving of full respect. This will prevent the name of God and Christian teaching from being discredited.But those who have believing masters must not show them less respect because they are brothers. Instead they are to serve all the more, because those who benefit from their service are believers and dearly loved. Teach them and exhort them about these things.If someone spreads false teachings and does not agree with sound words( that is, those of our Lord Jesus Christ) and with the teaching that accords with godliness,he is conceited and understands nothing, but has an unhealthy interest in controversies and verbal disputes. This gives rise to envy, dissension, slanders, evil suspicions,

But we command you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to keep away from any brother who lives an undisciplined life and not according to the tradition they received from us.For you know yourselves how you must imitate us, because we did not behave without discipline among you,and we did not eat anyone’s food without paying. Instead, in toil and drudgery we worked night and day in order not to burden any of you.It was not because we do not have that right, but to give ourselves as an example for you to imitate.For even when we were with you, we used to give you this command:“ If anyone is not willing to work, neither should he eat.”For we hear that some among you are living an undisciplined life, not doing their own work but meddling in the work of others.Now such people we command and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to work quietly and so provide their own food to eat.

As he was sitting on the Mount of Olives, his disciples came to him privately and said,“ Tell us, when will these things happen? And what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”
