to fulfill what was said through the prophet Isaiah:

In that way, what the prophet Isaiah had said came true. He had said,

This all happened so that what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet would be fulfilled:

This fulfilled what was spoken by Isaiah the prophet:“ Here is my servant whom I have chosen, the one I love, in whom I take great delight. I will put my Spirit on him, and he will proclaim justice to the nations.He will not quarrel or cry out, nor will anyone hear his voice in the streets.He will not break a bruised reed or extinguish a smoldering wick, until he brings justice to victory.And in his name the Gentiles will hope.”

For these things happened so that the scripture would be fulfilled,“ Not a bone of his will be broken.”And again another scripture says,“ They will look on the one whom they have pierced.”

Now this happened to fulfill the word that is written in their law,‘ They hated me without reason.’

In this way what was spoken by Isaiah the prophet was fulfilled:“ He took our weaknesses and carried our diseases.”

For I tell you that this scripture must be fulfilled in me,‘ And he was counted with the transgressors.’ For what is written about me is being fulfilled.”

After this Jesus, realizing that by this time everything was completed, said( in order to fulfill the scripture),“ I am thirsty!”

He stayed there until Herod died. In this way what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet was fulfilled:“ I called my Son out of Egypt.”

He came to a town called Nazareth and lived there. Then what had been spoken by the prophets was fulfilled, that Jesus would be called a Nazarene.

Then he said to them,“ These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the law of Moses and the prophets and the psalms must be fulfilled.”

How then would the scriptures that say it must happen this way be fulfilled?”

But this has happened so that the scriptures of the prophets would be fulfilled.” Then all the disciples left him and fled.
