所以，要治死你们在地上的肢体，就如淫乱、污秽、邪情、恶欲，和贪婪，贪婪就与拜偶像一样。

你们若顺从肉体活着，必要死；若靠着圣灵治死身体的恶行，必要活着。

基督既在肉身受苦，你们也当将这样的心志作为兵器，因为在肉身受过苦的，就已经与罪断绝了。你们存这样的心，从今以后就可以不从人的情欲，只从神的旨意在世度余下的光阴。因为往日随从外邦人的心意行邪淫、恶欲、醉酒、荒宴、群饮，并可恶拜偶像的事，时候已经够了。

凡属基督耶稣的人，是已经把肉体连肉体的邪情私欲同钉在十字架上了。

因为知道我们的旧人和他同钉十字架，使罪身灭绝，叫我们不再作罪的奴仆；

我是攻克己身，叫身服我，恐怕我传福音给别人，自己反被弃绝了。

倘若你一只手，或是一只脚，叫你跌倒，就砍下来丢掉。你缺一只手，或是一只脚，进入永生，强如有两手两脚被丢在永火里。倘若你一只眼叫你跌倒，就把它剜出来丢掉。你只有一只眼进入永生，强如有两只眼被丢在地狱的火里。”

因为，凡要救自己生命的，必丧掉生命；凡为我丧掉生命的，必救了生命。人若赚得全世界，却丧了自己，赔上自己，有什么益处呢？

人就是赚得全世界，赔上自己的生命，有什么益处呢？

人若赚得全世界，赔上自己的生命，有什么益处呢？人还能拿什么换生命呢？

只是我告诉你们，凡向弟兄动怒的，难免受审判；凡骂弟兄是拉加的，难免公会的审判；凡骂弟兄是魔利的，难免地狱的火。

你所行的道要离她远，不可就近她的房门，恐怕将你的尊荣给别人，将你的岁月给残忍的人；恐怕外人满得你的力量，你劳碌得来的，归入外人的家；终久，你皮肉和身体消毁，你就悲叹，说：“我怎么恨恶训诲，心中藐视责备，也不听从我师傅的话，又不侧耳听那教训我的人？我在圣会里，几乎落在诸般恶中。”

你们这些蛇类、毒蛇之种啊，怎能逃脱地狱的刑罚呢？

因为有生来是阉人，也有被人阉的，并有为天国的缘故自阉的。这话谁能领受就可以领受。”

“你们这假冒为善的文士和法利赛人有祸了！因为你们走遍洋海陆地，勾引一个人入教，既入了教，却使他作地狱之子，比你们还加倍。

那杀身体、不能杀灵魂的，不要怕他们；惟有能把身体和灵魂都灭在地狱里的，正要怕他。

我要指示你们当怕的是谁：当怕那杀了以后又有权柄丢在地狱里的。我实在告诉你们，正要怕他。
