Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal:

“你们不要为自己在地上积蓄财宝，地上有虫蛀，会锈蚀，也有盗贼钻进来偷窃；

“不可為自己在地上積聚財寶，因為地上有蟲蛀，有鏽侵蝕，也有賊挖洞來偷。

『別為自己積儹財寶在地上了；地上有蟲子和鏽能弄壞，地上有賊能挖窟窿來偷。

「你們不要為自己在地上積蓄財寶，地上有蟲蛀，會鏽蝕，也有盜賊鑽進來偷竊；

勿積財於地、其處蠹蝕銹壞、盜穴而竊之、

勿積財於地蠹食銹壞、盜穴而竊之處、

勿積財於地、彼有蠹蝕朽壞、有盜穿窬而竊、

爾毋儲富於地；蠹蝕焉、銹敗焉、竊者穿窬而盜焉。

Be ye free from the love of money; content with such things as ye have: for himself hath said, I will in no wise fail thee, neither will I in any wise forsake thee.

So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.

Come now, ye rich, weep and howl for your miseries that are coming upon you.Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth- eaten.Your gold and your silver are rusted; and their rust shall be for a testimony against you, and shall eat your flesh as fire. Ye have laid up your treasure in the last days.

Weary not thyself to be rich; Cease from thine own wisdom.Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? For riches certainly make themselves wings, Like an eagle that flieth toward heaven.

but having food and covering we shall be therewith content.But they that are minded to be rich fall into a temptation and a snare and many foolish and hurtful lusts, such as drown men in destruction and perdition.For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil: which some reaching after have been led astray from the faith, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Charge them that are rich in this present world, that they be not highminded, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;

And when Jesus heard it, he said unto him, One thing thou lackest yet: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! Yea, to get understanding is rather to be chosen than silver.

Sell that which ye have, and give alms; make for yourselves purses which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief draweth near, neither moth destroyeth.

Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of Jehovah’s wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he will make an end, yea, a terrible end, of all them that dwell in the land.

He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance, with increase: this also is vanity.When goods increase, they are increased that eat them; and what advantage is there to the owner thereof, save the beholding of them with his eyes?The sleep of a laboring man is sweet, whether he eat little or much; but the fulness of the rich will not suffer him to sleep.There is a grievous evil which I have seen under the sun, namely, riches kept by the owner thereof to his hurt:and those riches perish by evil adventure; and if he hath begotten a son, there is nothing in his hand.

Riches profit not in the day of wrath; But righteousness delivereth from death.

And Jesus seeing him said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!

Trust not in oppression, And become not vain in robbery: If riches increase, set not your heart thereon.

Surely every man walketh in a vain show; Surely they are disquieted in vain: He heapeth up riches, and knoweth not who shall gather them.

Jesus said unto him, If thou wouldest be perfect, go, sell that which thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

If I have made gold my hope, And have said to the fine gold, Thou art my confidence;

For to the man that pleaseth him God giveth wisdom, and knowledge, and joy; but to the sinner he giveth travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him that pleaseth God. This also is vanity and a striving after wind.
