Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father who is in heaven.

“ Not everyone who says to Me,‘ Lord, Lord!’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of My Father in heaven.

For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law who will be justified.

But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

“ Why do you call me‘ Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you?

But he said,“ Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”

Afterward the other virgins came also, saying,‘ Lord, lord, open to us.’But he answered,‘ Truly, I say to you, I do not know you.’

For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”

They profess to know God, but they deny him by their works. They are detestable, disobedient, unfit for any good work.

The one who conquers will be clothed thus in white garments, and I will never blot his name out of the book of life. I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels.

Since therefore it remains for some to enter it, and those who formerly received the good news failed to enter because of disobedience,

equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

So everyone who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven,but whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven.

Jesus answered,“ Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

so as to live for the rest of the time in the flesh no longer for human passions but for the will of God.

Do you want to be shown, you foolish person, that faith apart from works is useless?Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered up his son Isaac on the altar?You see that faith was active along with his works, and faith was completed by his works;and the Scripture was fulfilled that says,“ Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”— and he was called a friend of God.You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.And in the same way was not also Rahab the prostitute justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out by another way?For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead.

For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.”

Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates.

If anyone’s will is to do God’s will, he will know whether the teaching is from God or whether I am speaking on my own authority.

Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.”

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

and said,“ Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

For whoever does the will of God, he is my brother and sister and mother.”

For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality;

Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God;and whatever we ask we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do what pleases him.And this is his commandment, that we believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one another, just as he has commanded us.Whoever keeps his commandments abides in God, and God in him. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit whom he has given us.

His master said to him,‘ Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’

Whoever hates me hates my Father also.

give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ Jesus, greets you, always struggling on your behalf in his prayers, that you may stand mature and fully assured in all the will of God.

When once the master of the house has risen and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and to knock at the door, saying,‘ Lord, open to us,’ then he will answer you,‘ I do not know where you come from.’

not by the way of eye-service, as people-pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart,

For this is the will of God, that by doing good you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish people.

strengthening the souls of the disciples, encouraging them to continue in the faith, and saying that through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God.

My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.I and the Father are one.”

Hear this, O house of Jacob, who are called by the name of Israel, and who came from the waters of Judah, who swear by the name of the Lord and confess the God of Israel, but not in truth or right.For they call themselves after the holy city, and stay themselves on the God of Israel; the Lord of hosts is his name.

To me they cry,“ My God, we— Israel— know you.”Israel has spurned the good; the enemy shall pursue him.

But Jesus answered them,“ My Father is working until now, and I am working.”

and he will rule them with a rod of iron, as when earthen pots are broken in pieces, even as I myself have received authority from my Father.

And Jesus answered him,“ Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven.

So also my heavenly Father will do to every one of you, if you do not forgive your brother from your heart.”

“ See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.

Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists undertook to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying,“ I adjure you by the Jesus whom Paul proclaims.”Seven sons of a Jewish high priest named Sceva were doing this.But the evil spirit answered them,“ Jesus I know, and Paul I recognize, but who are you?”And the man in whom was the evil spirit leaped on them, mastered all of them and overpowered them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.And this became known to all the residents of Ephesus, both Jews and Greeks. And fear fell upon them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was extolled.Also many of those who were now believers came, confessing and divulging their practices.And a number of those who had practiced magic arts brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. And they counted the value of them and found it came to fifty thousand pieces of silver.So the word of the Lord continued to increase and prevail mightily.

And Jesus looked around and said to his disciples,“ How difficult it will be for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God!”And the disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus said to them again,“ Children, how difficult it is to enter the kingdom of God!

If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.”

Again, for the second time, he went away and prayed,“ My Father, if this cannot pass unless I drink it, your will be done.”

And going a little farther he fell on his face and prayed, saying,“ My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.”

Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.

And if your eye causes you to sin, tear it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than with two eyes to be thrown into hell,
