「因此，凡是聽了我這些話而實行的人，就好比一個聰明的人把自己的房子建在磐石上。

凡聞我言而行之者、譬諸智人、建屋磐上、

聞吾言而行之者、譬彼智人、建屋磐上、

故凡聞我此言而行之者、我譬之智人、建屋於磐上、

是以聞道而能篤實履踐者、譬諸有識者建屋於磐石之上、

“ Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.

“ Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock:

Every one therefore that heareth these words of mine, and doeth them, shall be likened unto a wise man, who built his house upon the rock:

“ Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them will be like a sensible man who built his house on the rock.

Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

“ Everyone who hears these words of mine and does them is like a wise man who built his house on rock.

“ Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man, who built his house on a rock.

Everyone who comes to Me and hears My words and acts on them, I will show you whom he is like:he is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid a foundation on the rock; and when there was a flood, the river burst against that house and yet it could not shake it, because it had been well built.But the one who has heard and has not acted accordingly is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation; and the river burst against it and it immediately collapsed, and the ruin of that house was great.”

If you know these things, you are blessed if you do them.

But He said,“ On the contrary, blessed are those who hear the word of God and follow it.”

According to the grace of God which was given to me, like a wise master builder I laid a foundation, and another is building on it. But each person must be careful how he builds on it.For no one can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

In the same way, faith also, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself.But someone may well say,“ You have faith and I have works; show me your faith without the works, and I will show you my faith by my works.”You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder.But are you willing to acknowledge, you foolish person, that faith without works is useless?Was our father Abraham not justified by works when he offered up his son Isaac on the altar?You see that faith was working with his works, and as a result of the works, faith was perfected;and the Scripture was fulfilled which says,“ And Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,” and he was called a friend of God.You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.In the same way, was Rahab the prostitute not justified by works also when she received the messengers and sent them out by another way?For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; All those who follow His commandments have a good understanding; His praise endures forever.

“ If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.

You are My friends if you do what I command you.

The wise of heart will receive commands, But a babbling fool will come to ruin.

Therefore, ridding yourselves of all filthiness and all that remains of wickedness, in humility receive the word implanted, which is able to save your souls.But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not just hearers who deceive themselves.For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror;for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he has immediately forgotten what kind of person he was.But one who has looked intently at the perfect law, the law of freedom, and has continued in it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an active doer, this person will be blessed in what he does.If anyone thinks himself to be religious, yet does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this person’s religion is worthless.Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.

“ Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal;for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

For whoever does the will of My Father who is in heaven, he is My brother, and sister, and mother.”

Judas( not Iscariot)* said to Him,“ Lord, what has happened that You are going to reveal Yourself to us and not to the world?”Jesus answered and said to him,“ If anyone loves Me, he will follow My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our dwelling with him.The one who does not love Me does not follow My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s who sent Me.

If you keep My commandments, you will remain in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and remain in His love.

And to mankind He said,‘ Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; And to turn away from evil is understanding.’ ”

Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a person sows, this he will also reap.For the one who sows to his own flesh will reap destruction from the flesh, but the one who sows to the Spirit will reap eternal life from the Spirit.

The unfolding of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.

For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome.For whoever has been born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world: our faith.Who is the one who overcomes the world, but the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

The wisdom of the sensible is to understand his way, But the foolishness of fools is deceit.

“ Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it.For the gate is narrow and the way is constricted that leads to life, and there are few who find it.

“ Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but faith working through love.You were running well; who hindered you from obeying the truth?

who will repay each person according to his deeds:to those who by perseverance in doing good seek glory, honor, and immortality, He will give eternal life;but to those who are self serving and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, He will give wrath and indignation.There will be tribulation and distress for every soul of mankind who does evil, for the Jew first and also for the Greek,

Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they will have the right to the tree of life, and may enter the city by the gates.Outside are the dogs, the sorcerers, the sexually immoral persons, the murderers, the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices lying.

Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom.But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not be arrogant and so lie against the truth.This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, natural, demonic.For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing.But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace loving, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial, free of hypocrisy.And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

For if you forgive other people for their offenses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.But if you do not forgive other people, then your Father will not forgive your offenses.
