夫吾人既認識真道、如再明知故犯、則不復有贖罪之祭、而其所餘者、惟觳觫待刑、以候吞滅悖逆之燎火而已。昔人干犯摩西律法、根據二三人之證言、尚且殺之無貸；何況蹂躪天主聖子、輕慢聖德所本之盟血、褻瀆恩寵所自之聖神、爾謂其所當受之刑罰、更堪設想乎！『伸冤在我、報應不爽。』『惟彼上主、黜陟厥民。』吾人固知作是語者之為誰也。遭受永生天主之譴怒、可怖也已！

夫既因認識吾主耶穌基督、而脫濁世之習氣、今復重入羅網、從此休矣！且其晚節必有較前更醜者焉。蓋與其知道而背命、孰若初未聞道之為愈乎？諺云：「犬有所吐、轉復茹之；母豬方潔、又入泥中。」此言茲若人之儔歟。

聞天國之道而不之悟、惡者旋至、奪其所播於心、斯乃播於道旁者也。其播於磽地者、乃聞道即欣然受之、第內無根核、末能有恆、及因道而遇困厄、則頹然而廢矣。其播於棘中者、聞道之後、世慮縈懷、利慾熏心、遂壅塞其道、乃至無實。

要之各人之工作、終必昭然若揭、無可隱匿。在主之日、主將以炬火燭照各人之工程、且加以煆煉焉。

邪魔離人、徘徊於無水之地、欲覓一安身之所而不可得則曰：「我將返我故宅。」比至、見其室空空、掃除整潔、粉飾煥然；乃往召較己尤惡七鬼同來居寓；其人之後患、必有甚焉者也。斯邪惡世代、亦復如是。』
