And the demons begged Him, saying,“ If You are going to cast us out, send us into the herd of pigs.”

惡魔求耶穌說：『你若趕我們，就打發我們進豬羣去吧。』

那些鬼魔就央求耶穌，說：「如果你要把我們趕出去，就叫我們進入這群豬裡面去吧。」

鬼求之曰、若逐我、則遣入豕羣、

魔求之曰、若逐我出、則許我入豕群、

群魔懇曰：『必欲驅我出、請發我入豕群。』

And the demons besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, send us away into the herd of swine.

So the devils besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine.

Then the demons begged him,“ If you drive us out, send us into the herd of pigs.”

And Jesus asked him,“ What is your name?” And he said,“ Legion”; because many demons had entered him.And they were begging Him not to command them to go away into the abyss.Now there was a herd of many pigs feeding there on the mountain; and the demons begged Him to permit them to enter the pigs. And He gave them permission.And the demons came out of the man and entered the pigs; and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and was drowned.

Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand.And he took hold of the dragon, the serpent of old, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years;

And the demons begged Him, saying,“ Send us into the pigs so that we may enter them.”

and shouting with a loud voice, he* said,“ What business do You have with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore You by God, do not torment me!”

For this reason, rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them. Woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has come down to you with great wrath, knowing that he has only a short time.”
