The demons begged him, saying,“ If you cast us out, permit us to go away into the herd of pigs.”

那些鬼魔就央求耶稣，说：“如果你要把我们赶出去，就叫我们进入这群猪里面去吧。”

那些鬼就求耶穌，說：“如果要趕我們出來，就准我們進到豬群裡去吧。”

惡魔求耶穌說：『你若趕我們，就打發我們進豬羣去吧。』

那些鬼魔就央求耶穌，說：「如果你要把我們趕出去，就叫我們進入這群豬裡面去吧。」

鬼求之曰、若逐我、則遣入豕羣、

魔求之曰、若逐我出、則許我入豕群、

群魔懇曰：『必欲驅我出、請發我入豕群。』

The demons begged Jesus,“ If you drive us out, send us into the herd of pigs.”

And the demons besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, send us away into the herd of swine.

“ If You drive us out,” the demons begged Him,“ send us into the herd of pigs.”

So the devils besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine.

Then the demons begged him,“ If you drive us out, send us into the herd of pigs.”

Jesus asked him,“ What is your name?” He said,“ Legion,” for many demons had entered into him.They begged him that he would not command them to go into the abyss.Now there was there a herd of many pigs feeding on the mountain, and they begged him that he would allow them to enter into those. Then he allowed them.The demons came out of the man, and entered into the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake, and were drowned.

I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand.He seized the dragon, the old serpent, which is the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole inhabited earth, and bound him for a thousand years,

All the demons begged him, saying,“ Send us into the pigs, that we may enter into them.”

and crying out with a loud voice, he said,“ What have I to do with you, Jesus, you Son of the Most High God? I adjure you by God, don’t torment me.”

Therefore rejoice, heavens, and you who dwell in them. Woe to the earth and to the sea, because the devil has gone down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has but a short time.”
