耶稣讲完了这些话，就离开加利利，来到约旦河东的犹太境内。有许多人跟着他；他在那里医好了他们。法利赛人前来试探耶稣，说：“人根据某些理由休妻，可以吗？”他回答：“造物者从起初‘造人的时候，就造男造女’。‘因此人要离开父母，与妻子连合，二人成为一体。’这些话你们没有念过吗？

他用比喻教训他们许多事，在教训中他说：

耶稣走遍加利利，在各会堂里教导人，宣扬天国的福音，医治民间各种疾病、各种病症。

耶稣又出去，到了加利利海边；众人都到他面前来，他就教导他们。

耶稣一下船，看见一大群人，就怜悯他们，因为他们好像羊没有牧人一样，就开始教导他们许多事。

传道者不但有智慧，还将知识教训众人；他既揣摩，又查考，也编撰了许多箴言。

他们以背向我，不以脸向我；我不断教导他们，他们却不肯听从，不接受管教；
