祂领了一个小孩子来，叫他站在门徒中间，又抱起他，对他们说：

耶稣带着门徒来到伯大尼附近，举起双手为他们祝福。正祝福的时候，祂就离开了他们，被接到天上去了。

就把祂抱过来，称颂上帝说：“主啊，现在你的话已经成就，可以让你的奴仆安然离世了，因为我已亲眼看到你的救恩，就是你为万民所预备的救恩。这救恩是启示外族人的光，也是你以色列子民的荣耀。”约瑟和玛丽亚听见这番话，感到惊奇。希缅给他们祝福后，就对孩子的母亲玛丽亚说：“看啊，这孩子必使以色列许多人跌倒、许多人兴起。祂将成为众人攻击的对象，

但以色列却两手交叉，把右手放在约瑟次子以法莲的头上，左手放在约瑟长子玛拿西的头上。他祝福约瑟说：“愿我祖先亚伯拉罕和以撒敬拜的上帝，牧养我一生直到今天的上帝，救我脱离一切患难的天使，赐福这两个孩子。愿我和我祖先亚伯拉罕及以撒的名字借着他们流传。愿他们在地上子孙兴旺。”

“无论你们住在城里还是乡村，都必蒙福。

祂像牧人一样牧养自己的羊群，用臂膀把羊羔聚在一起，抱在怀中，温柔地引导母羊。
