你有忍耐，曾為我的名的緣故忍受一切，並不困倦。

我所作的一切，都是為了福音的緣故，好讓我與別人同享福音的好處。

凡是想救自己生命的，必喪掉生命；但為我和福音犧牲生命的，必救了生命。

因著信，摩西長大了以後，就拒絕被稱為法老女兒的兒子。他寧願選擇和神的子民一同受苦，也不肯享受罪惡中暫時的快樂。在他看來，為著基督受的凌辱，比埃及的財物更寶貴，因為他注視將來的賞賜。

為義遭受迫害的人有福了，因為天國是他們的。人若因我的緣故辱罵你們，迫害你們，並且捏造各樣壞話毀謗你們，你們就有福了。

耶和華對亞伯蘭說：“你要離開本地、本族、父家，到我指示你的地方去。我必使你成為大國，賜福給你，使你的名為大，你也必使別人得福，給你祝福的，我必賜福給他；咒詛你的，我必咒詛他；地上的萬族，都必因你得福。”

利未人論到自己的父母說：‘我沒有看顧他們’；他不承認自己的兄弟，也不認識自己的兒女；因為他們謹守你的話，持守你的約。他們要把你的典章教訓雅各，把你的律法教訓以色列；他們要把香焚在你面前，把全牲的燔祭獻在你的祭壇上。耶和華啊，求你賜福他的能力，悅納他手中的作為；那些起來攻擊他和恨他的人，願你刺透他們的腰，使他們不能再起來。”

不要顧惜你們的家具，因為埃及全地美好的產物都是你們的。’”

我在磨煉之中，常常和我同在的就是你們。父怎樣把王權賜給我，我也照樣賜給你們，叫你們在我的國裡坐在我的席上吃喝，又坐在寶座上審判以色列的十二支派。

你們為我的緣故，也要被帶到統治者和君王面前，向他們和外族人作見證。
