But it shall not be so among you, but whoever wants to become great among you shall be your servant.

只是在你们中间，不是这样。你们中间，谁愿为大，就必作你们的用人；

但是在你们中间，不可这样。你们中间谁愿为大，就要作你们的用人；

但你们不可这样。你们中间谁要当首领，谁就要做大家的仆人；

但你们中间却不要这样；谁想在你们中间为大的，就要作你们的仆役，

但你们当中却不是这样；相反，无论谁想在你们当中为大，谁就该做你们的仆人；

惟爾曹不可如是、爾曹中欲為大者、當為爾役、

爾中則不應若是。爾中孰願為大、當為爾役；

Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant,

Don’t be like that. Instead, anyone who wants to be important among you must be your servant.

But it shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant,

But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant,

But it is not so among you. On the contrary, whoever wants to become great among you will be your servant,

But it is not this way among you; rather, whoever wants to become prominent among you shall be your servant;

Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant.

But it is not so among you: but whosoever would become great among you, shall be your minister;

But it must not be like that among you. On the contrary, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant,

But so shall it not be among you: but whosoever will be great among you, shall be your minister:

But it is not this way among you. Instead whoever wants to be great among you must be your servant,

But don’t you be called‘ Rabbi,’ for one is your teacher, the Christ, and all of you are brothers.Call no man on the earth your father, for one is your Father, he who is in heaven.Neither be called masters, for one is your master, the Christ.But he who is greatest among you will be your servant.Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.

It shall not be so among you, but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant.Whoever desires to be first among you shall be your bondservant,

He sat down, and called the twelve; and he said to them,“ If any man wants to be first, he shall be last of all, and servant of all.”

and said to them,“ Whoever receives this little child in my name receives me. Whoever receives me receives him who sent me. For whoever is least among you all, this one will be great.”

For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.”

I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well- pleasing, and perfect will of God.

For though I was free from all, I brought myself under bondage to all, that I might gain the more.To the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain Jews; to those who are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain those who are under the law;to those who are without law, as without law( not being without law toward God, but under law toward Christ), that I might win those who are without law.To the weak I became as weak, that I might gain the weak. I have become all things to all men, that I may by all means save some.Now I do this for the sake of the Good News, that I may be a joint partaker of it.

Likewise, you younger ones, be subject to the elder. Yes, all of you clothe yourselves with humility, to subject yourselves to one another; for“ God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time,

You call me,‘ Teacher’ and‘ Lord.’ You say so correctly, for so I am.If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.For I have given you an example, that you should also do as I have done to you.Most certainly I tell you, a servant is not greater than his lord, neither is one who is sent greater than he who sent him.If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.I don’t speak concerning all of you. I know whom I have chosen. But that the Scripture may be fulfilled,‘ He who eats bread with me has lifted up his heel against me.’

For you, brothers, were called for freedom. Only don’t use your freedom for gain to the flesh, but through love be servants to one another.

Jesus answered,“ My Kingdom is not of this world. If my Kingdom were of this world, then my servants would fight, that I wouldn’t be delivered to the Jews. But now my Kingdom is not from here.”
