讀經者宜悟哉、爾見穢惡摧殘者、立於不當立之地、斯時也、居猶太者、宜遁於山、

爾觀先知但以理所言、指殘賊可惡之物、立不當立之地、讀者宜致思焉、時、在猶太者、當避於山、

爾見先知但以理所言、殘賊可惡之物、立不當立之地、讀者當思之、時、在猶太者、當逃於山、

惟見慘無人道之事、入禁地（讀者其深味斯言、）則在猶太者當避入深山、

“ When you see‘ the abomination that causes desolation’ standing where it does not belong— let the reader understand— then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

“ You will see‘ the hated thing that destroys.’( Daniel 9:27; 11:31; 12:11) It will stand where it does not belong. The reader should understand this. Then those who are in Judea should escape to the mountains.

“ But when you see the abomination of desolation standing where he ought not to be( let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

And from the time that the continual burnt- offering shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

And he shall make a firm covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease; and upon the wing of abominations shall come one that maketh desolate; and even unto the full end, and that determined, shall wrath be poured out upon the desolate.

And forces shall stand on his part, and they shall profane the sanctuary, even the fortress, and shall take away the continual burnt- offering, and they shall set up the abomination that maketh desolate.

Here is wisdom. He that hath understanding, let him count the number of the beast; for it is the number of a man: and his number is Six hundred and sixty and six.

The adversary hath spread out his hand upon all her pleasant things: For she hath seen that the nations are entered into her sanctuary, Concerning whom thou didst command that they should not enter into thine assembly.

Brethren, be not children in mind: yet in malice be ye babes, but in mind be men.

But when ye see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that her desolation is at hand.Then let them that are in Judæa flee unto the mountains; and let them that are in the midst of her depart out; and let not them that are in the country enter therein.For these are days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.Woe unto them that are with child and to them that give suck in those days! for there shall be great distress upon the land, and wrath unto this people.And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led captive into all the nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

Then I heard a holy one speaking; and another holy one said unto that certain one who spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the continual burnt- offering, and the transgression that maketh desolate, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot?

Thus saith the Lord Jehovah, No foreigner, uncircumcised in heart and uncircumcised in flesh, shall enter into my sanctuary, of any foreigners that are among the children of Israel.

And Philip ran to him, and heard him reading Isaiah the prophet, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest?And he said, How can I, except some one shall guide me? And he besought Philip to come up and sit with him.

Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of the prophecy, and keep the things that are written therein: for the time is at hand.

Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea.

When therefore ye see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place( let him that readeth understand),then let them that are in Judæa flee unto the mountains:let him that is on the housetop not go down to take out the things that are in his house:and let him that is in the field not return back to take his cloak.But woe unto them that are with child and to them that give suck in those days!And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on a sabbath:for then shall be great tribulation, such as hath not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, nor ever shall be.And except those days had been shortened, no flesh would have been saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is the Christ, or, Here; believe it not.For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.Behold, I have told you beforehand.If therefore they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the wilderness; go not forth: Behold, he is in the inner chambers; believe it not.For as the lightning cometh forth from the east, and is seen even unto the west; so shall be the coming of the Son of man.Wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

Even things without life, giving a voice, whether pipe or harp, if they give not a distinction in the sounds, how shall it be known what is piped or harped?For if the trumpet give an uncertain voice, who shall prepare himself for war?
