『你們幾時看見那「引致荒涼的可憎之像」立在不當立的地方（誦讀的人須要了悟啊），那時在猶太的就要逃到山上；

惟見慘無人道之事、入禁地（讀者其深味斯言、）則在猶太者當避入深山、

“ When you see‘ the abomination that causes desolation’ standing where it does not belong— let the reader understand— then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

“ You will see‘ the hated thing that destroys.’( Daniel 9:27; 11:31; 12:11) It will stand where it does not belong. The reader should understand this. Then those who are in Judea should escape to the mountains.

“ But when you see the abomination of desolation standing where he ought not to be( let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

“ The day is coming when you will see the sacrilegious object that causes desecration standing where he should not be.”( Reader, pay attention!)“ Then those in Judea must flee to the hills.

從除掉不斷獻的燔祭、並設立那使地荒涼的可憎之像、那時候起、必有一千二百九十日。

一個七之內、他必跟許多人堅定盟約；一個七之一半、他必使宰祭和素祭止息；代替這祭獻的必是個可憎者、使聖地荒涼者，直到毁滅之事、鐵定之事、傾倒在那使聖地荒涼者身上為止。』

由他指揮的軍兵必立起來，褻瀆那做保障的聖地，廢除不斷獻的燔祭，設立使地荒涼的可憎之像。

這裏就是需要智慧的地方。有心思的人可以計算這獸的數目；因為這是一個人名的數目：其數目是六百六十六。

敵人伸開了手，奪取她的一切寶物；她眼看着外國人進入她的聖所，就是你曾吩咐不許進入你公會的。

弟兄們，在見識上別做小孩子；但在惡事上卻要做嬰孩；在見識上總要做成人。

『你們幾時看見耶路撒冷被軍隊圍着，那時就可以知道她的荒涼近了。那時在猶太的，要逃到山上；在城中的、要退出來；在鄉下的、不要進城。因為那些日子是報應的日子，使所記載的都得應驗。當那些日子，懷孕的和餵奶子的有禍啊！因為必有大災難臨到這地方，必有上帝的義怒臨到這人民。他們必倒斃在刀刃之下，必被擄到萬國去；耶路撒冷必被外國人踐踏，直到外國人的時期滿限。

我聽見有一位聖者在說話；又有一位聖者問那說話的聖者，說：『關於以下這些事的異象要延到幾時呢？關於這不斷獻的燔祭之被除掉和那使地荒涼的罪過行為、以及將聖所和拜神儀節任意踐踏的事；要延到幾時呢？

『因此主永恆主這麼說：以色列人中的一切外人、心沒受割禮、肉身沒受割禮、的一切外人、都不可進入我的聖地。

腓利就跑上前去，聽見他誦讀着神言人以賽亞的書，便說：『你所讀的、難道你懂麼？』他說：『除非有人領導我，怎能呢？』就請腓利上車，和他同坐。

那宣讀這神言傳講之話的、和那些聽而遵守其中所記載的、都有福氣；因為時機近了。

『這一切你們都領悟了麼？』他們對他說：『都領悟了。』

『所以你們幾時看見由神言人但以理所說那「引致荒涼的可憎之像」立在聖地上（誦讀的人須要了悟啊）；那時在猶太的就要逃到山上；在房頂上的不要下來、拿家裏的東西；在田地裏的也不要回去拿衣裳。當那些日子，懷孕的和餵奶子的有禍啊！你們要禱告，使你們的逃走不在冬天，也不在安息日：因為那時必有大苦難；這樣的苦難、從世界的起頭、直到如今、還沒有過，將來也一定不會有的。若不是那些日子被截短了，凡是血肉之人就沒有一個能得救；但是為了蒙揀選的人的緣故，那些日子是必會被截短的。那時若有人對你們說：「看哪，基督在這裏」，或是：「在那裏」，你們不要信；因為有假基督假神言人將要起來，施行大神迹奇事，為的是、如果可能、連蒙揀選的人也要加以迷惑。看哪，我豫先告訴你們了。所以人若對你們說：「看哪，他在野地裏」，你們不要出去；或是說：「看哪，在內屋裏呢」，你們不要信；因為閃電怎樣從東邊發出，直照到西邊，人子之御臨也必這樣。「屍體在哪裏，兀鷹也必聚在哪裏。」

就是那些無生氣之物、或簫笛或絃琴、也能發出聲音呀；但若在音響中不表出音程的區別來，所吹所彈的怎能使人明白呢？就是號筒罷、若發出無定的聲音來，誰能豫備出戰呢？
