若主未減其日、則無得救者、但為選民故、乃減其日也、

以福音言、彼因爾而為敵、以選擇言、因列祖而見愛、蓋上帝之賜與召無悔也、昔爾不順上帝、今因彼之不順而蒙矜恤、如是、彼今不順、緣施爾之矜恤、亦蒙矜恤焉、蓋上帝藩萬人於不順之中、乃為矜恤萬人耳、○

耶和華曰、四境之內、三分之二、將見絕滅而亡、三分之一、必得存留、其三分之一、我將使之經火、煉之若銀、煆之若金、彼必呼籲我名、而我應之、我則曰、彼為我民、彼則曰、耶和華乃我上帝也、

假令其中尚存什一、亦被焚燬、若栗與橡、經伐留幹、其幹乃聖裔也、

彼若不終於不信、亦必見接、蓋上帝能復接之也、爾見斫於順性之野欖、而逆性見接於嘉欖、況斯順性之枝、復見接於本欖乎、○

於今亦然、猶有遺餘、依恩而選者、既以恩、則不復以行、否則恩不復為恩矣、然則何耶、以色列所求未得、惟蒙選者得之、餘則頑耳、

如萬軍之耶和華、不為我儕少留遺民、則必若所多瑪、猶蛾摩拉矣、○
