然彼日彼時、無有人知、即天使亦不知、人子亦不知、惟父知之、

『至於彼時彼日、無人知之。天神不知、人子亦不知、惟父知之。

“ But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

“ But no one knows about that day or hour. Not even the angels in heaven know. The Son does not know. Only the Father knows.

“ But concerning that day or that hour, no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

“ However, no one knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only the Father knows.

“ Now concerning that day or hour no one knows— neither the angels in heaven nor the Son— but only the Father.

But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.

“ But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

耶稣回答说：“天父照祂的权柄定下的时间、日期不是你们可以知道的。

“所以，你们要警醒，因为你们不知道我回来的日子和时辰。

“但没有人知道那日子和时辰何时来到，连天上的天使也不知道，人子也不知道，只有天父知道。人子降临时的情形就像挪亚的时代。洪水来临之前，人们吃吃喝喝，男婚女嫁，一直到挪亚进方舟那天；他们懵然不知，直到洪水来把他们全冲走了。人子降临时的情形也是这样。那时，两个人在田里，一个将被接去，一个将被撇下；两个妇人推磨，一个将被接去，一个将被撇下。所以，你们要警醒，因为你们不知道你们的主会在哪一天来。

弟兄姊妹，这件事会在什么日期、什么时候发生，不必我写信告诉你们，因为你们已经清楚知道，将来有一天，主会突然来到，像贼在夜里忽然出现一样。

那时，世人必看到人子驾着云、带着极大的能力和荣耀降临。祂必差遣天使从四面八方、天涯海角招聚祂拣选的人。

“到了半夜，忽然听见有人喊道，‘新郎来了！出来迎接吧！’

过了很久，这些奴仆的主人回来了，要跟他们结帐。

不过，主再来的日子要像贼一样突然临到。那日，诸天必在一声巨响中消失，有形有质的都要被烈火焚毁，大地和其中的一切将不复存在。

因此，要回想你以前所领受、所听见的教导，遵守这些教导，并且悔改。你若不警醒，我必在你意想不到的时候像贼一样忽然来到。

以下是上帝赐给耶稣基督的启示，让祂把将来要发生的事指示祂的众奴仆。因此，祂差遣天使告诉祂的奴仆约翰。
