馬利亞卻靠着墳墓，站在外邊哭。哭的時候、屈身向墳墓裏窺察，便見兩個天使穿着白衣，坐在耶穌身體安放的地方，一個在頭那邊，一個在腳那邊。

他的像貌如同閃電，他的衣服白得像雪。

馬利亞卻因這話而震盪不安，就反復思想這請安到底甚麼意思。天使對她說：『馬利亞，別怕了；你在上帝面前已經蒙恩。

全羣的人一看見耶穌、都非常驚訝，就跑上前去，給他請安。

撒迦利亞看見，就大為震盪，覺得懼怕。

那時先上墳墓來的那另一個門徒也進去，看見，就信了。（

他們看見他在海上走，以為是鬼怪，就高聲喊叫起來；大家一看見他，便震盪不安。耶穌連忙同他們講話，對他們說：『你們放膽；是我；別怕了！』

她們就進去，卻沒有看見身體。正為這事為難的時候，忽然有兩個人站在她們旁邊，穿着閃爍的衣服。她們很懼怕，就屈身將臉伏地；那兩個人對她們說：『為甚麼在死人中找活人呢？

他就對我說：『但以理啊，你不要懼怕，因為從你用心求明白這些事、又在你的上帝面前刻苦自己那頭一天起，你禱告的話就蒙應允；我就是因你的話而來的。

我舉目觀看，忽見有一個人穿着細麻服裝，腰束烏法黃金帶。他的身體如黃璧璽，他的面貌如閃電的形狀，他的眼睛像火把，他的手臂和腿像明亮的銅那麼閃耀；他說話的聲音就如蜂擁大眾的聲音。這景象、惟有我但以理獨自一人看見，同我在一起的人都沒有看見這景象；然而他們卻大大顫抖，逃跑去藏匿着。只剩下我獨自一人；我見了這大景象，便渾身全無餘力；我的美貌變色，力氣都持不住。我卻聽見他說話的聲音；我一聽見他說話的聲音，就伏臉、昏昏沉睡——臉伏至地。

他便走近我所站的地方；他一來到，我就驚惶失措，臉伏於地。他對我說：『人子啊，你要明白這異象是關於末了時期的。』
