He looked around at them in anger and, deeply distressed at their stubborn hearts, said to the man,“ Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out, and his hand was completely restored.

他們的心思昏昧，因為自己無知，心裡剛硬，就與神所賜的生命隔絕了。

生氣卻不要犯罪；含怒不可到日落。

於是對那人說：“伸出手來！”他把手一伸，就復原了，好像另一隻手一樣。

弟兄們，我不願意你們對這奧祕一無所知，免得你們自以為聰明。這奧祕就是以色列人當中有一部分是硬心的，直到外族人的全數滿了；

所以，我向那個世代的人發怒，說：‘他們心裡常常迷誤，不認識我的道路。’

他說：“你去告訴這子民，說：‘你們聽了又聽，卻不明白；看了又看，卻不曉得。’你要使這子民的心思遲鈍（“遲鈍”直譯是“蒙脂油”），耳朵不靈，眼睛昏暗，免得他們眼睛看見，耳朵聽見，心裡明白，回轉過來，得到醫治。”

於是，耶和華後悔造人在地上，心中憂傷。

耶穌說：“我告訴你們，他們若不出聲，石頭都要呼叫了。”耶穌走近耶路撒冷的時候，看見了城，就為城哀哭，說：“巴不得你在這日子，知道關於你平安的事，但現在這事在你眼前是隱藏的。日子將到，你的仇敵必築壘攻擊你，周圍環繞你，四面困住你，要摧毀你和你裡面的兒女，沒有一塊石頭留在另一塊石頭上面，因為你不知道那眷顧你的時期。”

王對神人說：“求你為我向耶和華你的神求情，又為我禱告，使我的手復原。”於是神人向耶和華求情，王的手就復了原，像起先一樣。

他們並不知道，也不明白；因為耶和華閉住他們的眼睛，使他們不能看見，塞住他們的心，使他們不能明白。沒有人細心思想，也沒有人有知識有聰明說：“我把木頭的一半放在火裡燃燒，我也在炭火上烘過餅，烤過肉吃，剩下的，我卻用來做了一個可憎之物，我要向木頭叩拜嗎？”他所追求的只是灰塵，被迷惑了的心使他偏離正道了；他不能救自己，也不會說：“在我的右手中不是有個假神嗎？”

四十年之久，我厭惡那個世代的人；我曾說：“他們是心裡迷誤的人民，不認識我的道路。”

對他說：“你去西羅亞池洗一洗吧。”（西羅亞就是“奉差遣”的意思。）於是他就去了，洗完了，走的時候，就看見了。

他不再是敵對者，並且他面前的使者拯救了他們。他以自己的愛和憐憫救贖了他們；在古時的一切日子，他背負他們，懷抱他們。可是，他們竟然悖逆，使他的聖靈憂傷；所以他轉作他們的仇敵，親自攻擊他們。

那又怎麼樣呢？以色列人懇切尋找的，他們沒有得到，蒙揀選的人倒得著了。其餘的人都成了頑固的，正如經上所記：“神給了他們麻木的靈，有眼睛卻看不見，有耳朵卻聽不到，直到今日。”大衛也說：“願他們的筵席成為他們的網羅、陷阱、絆腳石和報應；願他們的眼睛昏暗，不能看見；願他們的背脊常常彎曲。”

四十年之久，神向誰發怒呢？不就是向那些犯了罪陳屍曠野的人嗎？

主說：“偽君子啊，你們哪一個人在安息日，不從槽那裡解開牛、驢，牽去喝水呢？

他看見了，就對他們說：“你們去給祭司檢查吧。”他們去的時候就潔淨了。

以賽亞的預言，正應驗在他們身上，他說：‘你們聽是聽見了，總是不明白；看是看見了，總是不領悟。因為這人民的心思遲鈍，用不靈的耳朵去聽，又閉上了眼睛；免得自己眼睛看見，耳朵聽見，心裡明白，回轉過來，我就醫好他們。’

他既然順從到底（“他既然順從到底”或譯：“他既然達到完全”），就成了所有順從他的人得到永遠救恩的根源；

他們向山嶺和巖石說：“倒在我們身上吧！把我們藏起來，躲避坐在寶座上那位的面，和羊羔的震怒！

我十分惱怒，就把多比雅的一切家具，都從房間裡拋出去。

但是他們的心思遲鈍，因為直到今日，他們誦讀舊約的時候，這帕子仍然存在，沒有揭開，唯有在基督裡才能把這帕子廢掉。

以色列人就從他們中間除去外族人的神，事奉耶和華；耶和華的心因以色列人所受的患難，就很著急。

耶穌對他說：“起來，拿著你的褥子走吧。”那人立刻痊愈，就拿起褥子走了。那天正是安息日。

聾子啊！你們要聽。瞎子啊！你們要留心去看。有誰比我的僕人更瞎呢？有誰比我差派的使者更聾呢？有誰瞎眼像那與我立了和約的呢？有誰瞎眼像耶和華的僕人呢？你們看見了許多的事，卻沒有留心，耳朵開著，卻沒有聽見。

不可讓神的聖靈憂傷，因為你們受了他的印記，等候得贖的日子。
