他使狂风止息，波浪就平静。

使诸海的响声和其中波浪的响声，并万民的喧哗，都平静了。

你管辖海的狂傲；波浪翻腾，你就使它平静了。

洪水泛滥之时，耶和华坐着为王；耶和华坐着为王，直到永远。

为沧海定出界限，使水不越过他的命令，立定大地的根基。

耶和华说：你们怎么不惧怕我呢？我以永远的定例，用沙为海的界限，水不得越过。因此，你们在我面前还不战兢吗？波浪虽然翻腾，却不能逾越；虽然砰訇，却不能过去。

说：‘你只可到这里，不可越过；你狂傲的浪要到此止住。’

火与冰雹，雪和雾气，成就他命的狂风，

耶和华啊，大水扬起，大水发声，波浪澎湃。耶和华在高处大有能力，胜过诸水的响声，洋海的大浪。

你的斥责一发，水便奔逃；你的雷声一发，水便奔流。诸山升上，诸谷沉下，归你为它所安定之地。你定了界限，使水不能过去，不再转回遮盖地面。

因为主必不永远丢弃人。

他斥责海，使海干了，使一切江河干涸。巴珊和迦密的树林衰残；黎巴嫩的花草也衰残了。
