And the men marveled, saying,“ What sort of man is this, that even winds and sea obey him?”

Only fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart. For consider what great things he has done for you.

He said to them,“ Where is your faith?” And they were afraid, and they marveled, saying to one another,“ Who then is this, that he commands even winds and water, and they obey him?”

And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased.

Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship you, for your righteous acts have been revealed.”

and said,‘ Thus far shall you come, and no farther, and here shall your proud waves be stayed’?

But the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came in fear and trembling and fell down before him and told him the whole truth.

So Samuel called upon the Lord, and the Lord sent thunder and rain that day, and all the people greatly feared the Lord and Samuel.And all the people said to Samuel,“ Pray for your servants to the Lord your God, that we may not die, for we have added to all our sins this evil, to ask for ourselves a king.”And Samuel said to the people,“ Do not be afraid; you have done all this evil. Yet do not turn aside from following the Lord, but serve the Lord with all your heart.

My covenant with him was one of life and peace, and I gave them to him. It was a covenant of fear, and he feared me. He stood in awe of my name.

So they picked up Jonah and hurled him into the sea, and the sea ceased from its raging.Then the men feared the Lord exceedingly, and they offered a sacrifice to the Lord and made vows.

And he said to them,“ I am a Hebrew, and I fear the Lord, the God of heaven, who made the sea and the dry land.”Then the men were exceedingly afraid and said to him,“ What is this that you have done!” For the men knew that he was fleeing from the presence of the Lord, because he had told them.

And they were astonished beyond measure, saying,“ He has done all things well. He even makes the deaf hear and the mute speak.”

Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe,

And they were all amazed and said to one another,“ What is this word? For with authority and power he commands the unclean spirits, and they come out!”
