爾其小心謹慎、毋令他人以其鑿空蹈虛之詭辯、支離妄本之曲學、劫奪爾之心魂。此種詭辯曲學、囿於習俗、扭於形迹、而不能上達於基督也。

應知爾等之得脫於習俗之羈絆其贖價非屬可朽之金銀、

既奉世教為寶訓、向我朝拜亦徒然。」蓋天主之命、爾則棄之、人之習俗、爾則執之。』又曰：『爾曹之所以廢棄天主誡命、而維護爾之習俗者、亦已巧矣！蓋摩西曰：「敬爾父母、咒詛其父母者死無貸；」

人之言曰：『此物不可觸也、此物不可食也、此物不可執也。』寧不知萬物終歸朽腐、正備人之一用乎。如此之言、虛有智慧之表、徒令人多諱忌、妄自菲薄、戕賊己身、而於真正克己工夫、毫無實益也。

『爾徒違古人遺規、不盥手而食何也？』耶穌答曰：『爾等以遺規而違犯天主誡命、則又何說？蓋天主曰：「敬爾父母；詈父母者、死無赦；」汝則曰：「人第對父母云我所當奉親者、已獻為禮物、乃無須養其父母。」是爾以人之傳習、廢天主之道也。

故法利塞人及經生質耶穌曰：『爾徒不遵古人遺規、而以俗手取食何也？』
