山一見永恆主的面、就震撼，一見西乃山的上帝永恆主、以色列上帝的面、就搖動。

但現今的天和地呢、還是憑着那同一的話給火儲藏着保留着、等到審判的日子、不虔之人滅亡的日子。但親愛的、這一點你們可別忘了：在主看來，一日如千年，千年如一日。關於所應許的、主並不躭延，像有些人就看為躭延了；不，他乃是以恆忍待你們的；他不願有人滅亡，惟願人人都進到悔改的地步。但主的日子總必來到；來時就像賊一樣。當那日、天必轟然一聲地過去，星辰必因烈熾而被消毁，地和地上被造之物就不見了。這一切既都要這樣消毁，你們就該做甚麼樣的人，該怎樣以聖別的品行和虔敬來期待、來催促上帝日子之來臨呢？為了這個、天必被火燒𤏲而消毁，星辰必因烈熾而熔化。

忽然地大震動；因為有主的一個使者從天上下來，走上前去，把石頭輥開，坐在上面。

大山踴躍如公羊，小山蹦跳如羊仔兒。

列邦喧嚷，萬國動搖；上帝發聲，地便熔化。

我看見有一個白色的大寶座和那坐在上面的；地和天都從他面前逃避了；再也找不着其位置了。

永恆主的聲音震折了香柏樹；永恆主震斷了利巴嫩的香柏樹。他使利巴嫩跳躍如牛犢，使西連山蹦跳如野牛犢。

因為萬軍之永恆主必有一日要攻擊一切驕矜高傲的，一切自抬自高的；要攻擊利巴嫩高而昂的香柏樹，和巴珊的橡樹；攻擊一切高山，一切巍峨的岡陵，

願海和充滿於海中的、澎湃如雷；願世界和住於其間的、都發聲。

忽然殿堂裏的幔子、從上到下、裂為兩段。地震動，磐石裂開；

西奈山全都冒煙，因為永恆主在火中降臨山上；山的煙往上冒，就像燒窰的煙一般：整個的山震顫得極厲害。

大山哪，你為甚麼踴躍如公羊？小山哪，你為甚麼蹦跳如羊仔兒？
