僕今為主之諸僕以色列人、晝夜所祈禱於主前、又認以色列人及我並我父家於主前所犯之罪、求主以目垂顧、側耳垂聽僕之祈禱、

let your ear be attentive and your eyes open to hear the prayer your servant is praying before you day and night for your servants, the people of Israel. I confess the sins we Israelites, including myself and my father’s family, have committed against you.

我还在说话、祷告，承认我的罪和我民以色列的罪，并为我神的圣山在耶和华我的神面前呈上恳求——

我向耶和华我的神祷告、认罪，说：“哦，主啊，大而可畏的神，你向那些爱你并遵守你诫命的人持守你的约和慈爱！

耶和华的眼目向着义人，他的耳朵听他们的呼求。

难道神绝不会给那些他所拣选、日夜向他呼求的人主持公道吗？难道神会耽误帮助他们吗？

我们与我们的祖先一同犯了罪，我们行事歪曲，做事邪恶。

“我们的神哪，现在求你垂听你仆人的祷告和恳求；主啊，为你自己的缘故，求你使你的脸照亮你荒凉的圣所！我的神哪，求你侧耳听，求你垂听！求你睁开眼睛观看我们的荒凉和这被称为你名下的城，因为我们在你面前呈上的恳求不是因着我们的义，而是因着你丰盛的怜悯。

那时我说：“我有祸了，我要灭亡了！因为我是个嘴唇不洁净的人，住在嘴唇不洁净的民众当中；又因为我亲眼看见了大君王万军之耶和华。”

我们从前也都生活在他们中间，生活在自己肉体的欲望里，行肉体和意念所愿的事。我们正如其他人，生来也是震怒之下的儿女。

耶和华，拯救我的神哪，我昼夜在你面前呼求！

傍晚、清晨、正午，我都要悲诉哀鸣，他必垂听我的声音。

主啊，求你垂听我的声音，愿你的耳朵倾听我恳求的声音！

“我后悔立扫罗为王了，因为他转离不跟从我，也不执行我的命令。”撒母耳为此很苦恼，整夜向耶和华哀求。

后来守寡了，现在已经八十四岁。她从不离开圣殿，禁食祈祷，日夜事奉神。

我在日夜的祈祷中时常想到你，我感谢神，就是我像先祖那样以清白的良心所事奉的那一位。

那真正的寡妇，无依无靠，已经把盼望寄托于神，日夜不住地祈求祷告；
