In their hunger you gave them bread from heaven and in their thirst you brought them water from the rock; you told them to go in and take possession of the land you had sworn with uplifted hand to give them.

When the people were hungry, you gave them bread from heaven. When they were thirsty, you brought them water out of a rock. You told them to go into the land of Canaan. You told them to take it as their own. It was the land you had promised to give them.

露水蒸發以後，曠野便出現一層薄薄的、像白霜的東西。以色列人見了，不知道是何物，便彼此議論說：「這是什麼？」摩西對他們說：「這就是耶和華給你們的食物。

他們祈求，祂就賜下鵪鶉，降下天糧，叫他們飽足。祂使磐石裂開、湧出水來，在乾旱之地奔流成河。

我在曠野曾向他們發誓，不帶他們進入我賜給他們的那奶蜜之鄉，那世上最佳美的地方，

因為祂使磐石變成水池，使岩石湧出泉水。

我們的祖先在曠野有嗎哪吃，正如聖經上說，『祂賜下天糧給他們吃。』」耶穌卻說：「我實實在在地告訴你們，不是摩西從天上賜給了你們糧食，而是我父將天上的真糧食賜給你們。因為上帝賜的糧就是從天降下、賜生命給世人的那位。」他們說：「先生，求你把這種糧食天天賜給我們吧。」耶穌說：「我就是生命的糧，到我這裡來的人必定不餓，信我的人必永遠不渴。

祂讓你們忍饑挨餓，然後賜給你們祖祖輩輩從未見過的嗎哪吃，為了使你們明白人活著不是單靠食物，乃是靠祂口中的每一句話。

帶領你們走過乾旱、可怕、毒蛇和蠍子出沒的大曠野。祂使堅硬的磐石流出水來給你們喝，在曠野中把你們祖先從未見過的嗎哪賜給你們吃，為要磨煉你們、考驗你們，使你們最終得到益處。

你差遣你良善的靈去教導他們，沒有停止賜他們嗎哪吃，也沒有停止賜他們水喝。

降下嗎哪給他們吃，賜下天糧。他們吃了天使的食物，上帝賜給他們豐富的食物。

耶和華對摩西說：「你拿著杖和你哥哥亞倫招聚會眾，當著他們的面吩咐磐石流出水來，水就會從磐石流出，供會眾和牲畜喝。」摩西遵命而行，從耶和華面前取了杖，然後和亞倫把會眾招聚到磐石前，說：「你們這些叛逆之徒聽著，非要我們叫磐石給你們流出水來嗎？」接著，摩西舉起手中的杖擊打磐石兩下，水便噴湧而出，會眾和牲畜都喝了。耶和華對摩西和亞倫說：「你們對我沒有足夠的信心，沒有當著以色列人的面尊我為聖，所以你們不得帶領會眾進入我將要賜給他們的土地。」這地方叫米利巴泉，因為以色列人在那裡埋怨耶和華，耶和華就向他們彰顯了祂的聖潔。

看啊，你們祖先的上帝耶和華已把那片土地賜給你們，你們要照著祂的應許去佔領那裡，不要懼怕，不要氣餒。』

除耶孚尼的兒子迦勒和嫩的兒子約書亞之外，你們無人能進入我起誓應許的那片土地。

「我的僕人摩西已經死了，現在你和全體以色列人要準備渡過約旦河，到我要賜給你們的地方去。我已把你們腳掌將踏之地都賜給了你們，正如我對摩西的應許。從南部的曠野直到北部的黎巴嫩，從東部的幼發拉底大河直到西部的地中海，包括赫人居住的全境，都將是你們的領土。

你以大能救贖了你的子民，就是雅各和約瑟的後代。（細拉）上帝啊，海水看見你就戰慄，深淵看見你就顫抖。雲層倒出雨水，天上雷霆霹靂，電光四射。旋風中傳來你的雷聲，你的閃電照亮世界，大地顫抖震動。你的道路穿越海洋，經過洪濤，但你的足跡無人看見。你藉著摩西和亞倫的手引領你的子民，如同牧人引領羊群。
