『以色列啊、你要聽；你今日正要過約但河、進去趕出比你大比你強的列國人、去取得那些又大又有堡壘、高得頂天的城邑。那族之民又大又高，是亞衲人，你所知道、所聽見過的、人怎樣指着他們而說：「在亞衲人面前、誰能站立得住呢？」所以你今日要知道是永恆主你的上帝，那在你前面過去如同火能燒滅人的、就是他；是他要消滅他們，是他要在你面前制伏他們；好使你把他們趕出，迅速地殺滅他們，照永恆主所告訴過你的。

你去使這人民心蒙脂油，耳朵發沉，將他們的眼塗抹掉，免得他們用眼看見，用耳聽見，心裏明白，而回轉過來，而得醫治！』

你以你的慈恩給年歲戴上冠冕；你的轍跡都有脂油漬出，

但這些人民既得喫了，就喫得飽飫；既得飽飫了，就心高氣傲，因而忘記了我。

還是你輕看他慈惠寬容與恆忍之豐富，不知道上帝的慈惠正領着你悔改麼？

因為永恆主你的上帝正在領你進入美好之地；那地有流水的溪河，有泉有源，在峽谷和山中流出來；那地有小麥、大麥、葡萄樹、無花果樹、石榴樹；那地有出油的橄欖樹、有蜜；在那地你喫食物、並不顯着寒酸；在那裏你一無所缺；那地的石頭就是鐵；從它的山上你可以鑿出銅來。你必喫得飽足，並且因永恆主你的上帝所賜給你的美地而祝頌他。

我必用肥油使祭司的心飽飫；我的人民必因我賜的美物而心滿意足：這是永恆主發神諭說的。』
